The Fischer 305GT is an American mid-engine sports coupe built to challenge the Italians at Le Mans in 1966 and 1967. The Standard road car came with a 260HP 5.0L V8, a 4-speed gearbox, and lightweight construction. There was also the 427 Special which swapped in a 7.0L V8, a Drag Racing configuration, and the famous #1 Le Mans track car.
