This mod is so fun. I've been waiting for something like this and it came. I love the flooding with rain. I love just trying to escape the water level that keeps on rising. I love the rain as well, very easy to set up. this mod is very cool, but is there any chance you can add thunderstorm sounds?
-
Author's Response
Hello, thanks for the kind words. And yes, I'll add this once the rain has improved (by the game developers, hopefully next update?)

- 5/5,
its a good mod but were do i find the UI or what ever I use to active it
-
Author's Response
Hello, go into Controls and search for Flood. Simply bind a key and once you're loaded in a map (has to have an ocean), press the key :)

- 3/5,
I think a ui version would make it much more simplified, right now it's incredibly difficult to use. A+ for effort though it'll be amazing once further progressed

Author's Response
Hello, read the description and there will be a link that takes you to the thread. Most updates will be there now since it's been almost 3 days and version 1.1 hasn't been approved, currently on version 1.4 :)

Console tells me that flood is not defined and thus I cannot really use the mod currently
Installed it in the correct path (I checked it already) and tried reinstalling it, doesn't help :/-
Author's Response
That's weird, it works for me and everyone else. Can you open the console and type "exensions.load('flood')"? If you want, continue this discussion here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/flood.87202/

love this mod, just hard to use. i wanted to decrease the flood and all i ended up doing was flooding the entire map, i have no clue what to type to make it go back to normal
-
Author's Response
Appreciate the support. It'll be easier to use in the next update, for now, you just need to open the console and run "flood.resetWaterLevel()"

It's coming in 1.2, still waiting for them to approve the update.

- 3/5,
im having trouble when i enable it and set the flood hights to 0.005 its goes really high.
-
Author's Response
Then lower it to 0.0005, it can go pretty low :)

-
Author's Response
Yes, this has been fixed in 1.2 (currently waiting for 1.1 and 1.2 to get approved). 1.2 also has a UI which is nice

Author's Response
You need to open the console and type the commands you see in the description. I'm currently waiting for them to approve my update, after that I'm going to push another one that has a UI (already made)

- 5/5,
The "flood.size" is more like flood speed, but other than the confusion, I really like this mod.

Author's Response
Agreed, I was extremely tired and couldn't think of the right name. I'll change it now and maybe implement some other functions. Thanks

Amazing work! I believe the default key for the console is backtick (`), which is the top-left of a standard English US keyboard.

Author's Response
Appreciate the support and thanks :)

nice, kinda hope this would work in multiplayer, might give it a go later with my friend.
-
Author's Response
It will yes, I've designed it so it would. I should add a getWaterHeight() function so it's easier to know if someone's in the water.

I don't get we are supposed to use this. Can you make a video on it?
-
Author's Response
Hello, I've updated the description to show you how to open it, to execute a command you just go to the input field at the bottom, enter the command and press return/enter
-
-
Author's Response
Hey :) I've updated the description to tell you how to open the console. Once the console is open, look at the bottom and you should see an area where you can type. Type: "flood.enabled = true" and press return/enter

- 5/5,
could you make it easier to use as I dont know stuff about console
maybe a ui app that makes a flood?-
Author's Response
Hello, I would love to but since I want it to work with BeamMP and KissMP, I thought it would be easier to not include any UI. I've modified to description to tell you how to open the console :)
