Gavril Roamup was introduced to the public at the Belasco motor show in 1993, i.e. a year after the premiere of the Roamer. Gavril thus responded to the public's demand for a luxury pickup and also created competition for the Bruckell pickup. Despite the "work" appearance and the somewhat jarring name, the Roamup became a sales blockbuster. It lasted in production until the end of production of the facelifted Roamer in 2000.
