Hello once again! This is a small update, which I will be trying to do more of rather than larger content dumps, mainly for my sanity. v1.8.4 includes a very important announcement, bug fixes, a few adjustments and includes some audio adjustments and additions as well. The full (short) change log below.

IMPORTANT Announcement:
As of v1.8.5 (Next Update) I will be RE-COMMON-ING the Pure790 and Pure860 turbo kits
The old common structure was removed back in July under the assumption that it would make management of the content easier for me, and with the knowledge I had at the time, it kinda did. As time has gone on, however, the management of the Pure kits has become exponentially more difficult, having to juggle 6 seperate files for just 2 kits. With that in mind, I am going to be reverting back to this structure for v1.8.5 (next update not this one), so consider this announcement your notification of this upcoming change.
Two other announcements:
- What does this mean for you?
- All this means that you’ll have to re-install the HMT Pure turbo kits back onto your configs. I do Apologize for the inconvenience, but just know that it means I will be able to more easily manage and continuously improve both the kits.
- This also means as an added bonus that any other mod that swaps the ETK 3.0L I6 or the 4.4L V8 will be functionally* compatible with the Pure kits due to the common folders functionality
- (*without the models)
- Pure790 revamp is inbound once I have done the re-commoning
- While, the performance has been great, the methods used to produce the power are a bit of a crutch that has been on my mind for a while despite the great performance. Realistically, red-line is too high for a bolt on kit that doesn't open up the motor, and the torque hits much too much early for the top end that this turbo can achieve. That said, It will subjectively be dialed back A BIT. Power output will remain the same but delivery will become more realistic and more predictable. HMT has gained the trust of over 100,00 people over the past 10 months, and we know this kit is important to many of you. Be assured, we wont release a kit that is objectively worse, and if the results of early development are anything to go by, you're gonna love it.
- Unrelated but I will also be removing the "Dual Burnt Exhaust Tips" for the K series and the "custom Exhaust Tip" for the 800 series in favor of the new HMT Signature tips in the same update. I assume I wont get much push back on that seeing how vastly improved the HMT Signature tips are but making a note of it here and now. Will probably keep them in the files on the off chance someone wants them though.
Bug Fixes:
Changes:
- Fixed Boost by gear for HMT Pure860 not having intended full boost above 3rd gear.
- Caused peak boost to be down by 3.7psi and max power down noticeably when BBG is active. Sorry about the oversight, fixed and better than ever!
- Removed “Demo” filter option in Eden Kits that I used for development screenshots and debug. still in the files so if you want to look at all the filters at once I guess you can re-activate that yourself
- DS9 Piggyback ECU tweaks:
- Added (and adjusted) diesel preset sub-slot
- Been active and included for an update or two but forgot to mention it officially so consider this that announcement
- Changes some spool characteristics to make the turbos a bit less eager to spool (its almost hard to keep stock diesel turbos out of boost) and made them spool down a bit quicker
- Made diesel presets incompatible with petrol engines since its settings do weird things to petrol turbos. If active on a petrol powered platform, the engine will refuse to start
- Added dynamic torque increase on diesel presets (increases torque limit by 3nm per every added PSI of waste-gate pressure)
- Lets you add up to 12nm, helpful for pushing for max power on the 2.0L Diesel
- Played with some internal sound settings (not noticeable to most people)
- Reworked some sounds:
- Eden I & II sound adjusted:
- Lowered high shelf gain to emphasize lower tone and reduce the valve-train noise to a reasonable level (really my only personal gripe with the sound of this kit)
- HMT I6 Titanium exhaust sound adjusted:
- Cant really describe the difference other than saying it sounds more soulful and shrill with less bass. Reduced eq-high-gain by a lot, changed muffling coef, and reduced off-load gain by 25%. Something had been bothering me with the tone for a while and I think this has fixed it (although its always been a large improvement over the base game sound). Low rpm is starting to get the harmonics of a N55 or B58 just a bit
- Added DPF-back for I4 DIESEL
- You know the deal, more volume & better engineered sound (you can hear the turbo spool out the back at idle just a bit), and a small power bump. Perfect for stacking the DS9 on the vanilla stage 1 tune.
Thats all for now! Hope you enjoy the tweaks here and the content from v1.8.3, the response has been overwhelmingly positive and I want to thank all my Patreon supporters for helping make this content possible![]()
