Outdated Hectic Delivery (Gull) 1.3

Deliver the package in a hurry, but watch out for traffic!

    Deliver a package of security cameras to the tourist information centre before the installation technician leaves! You only have 170 seconds (2:50) to do this. You're in a roaring pickup truck, and you have waves of traffic to dodge. Hurry, but be careful!

    This scenario contains my longest Lua script yet. I had to come up with a lot of logic and parameters to make things work beautifully. There are only 4 traffic cars, but they get repeatedly respawned in smart positions to make for an immersive experience. I could add more cars, but that would mean more lag. Feel free to check out or use my code!

    Known issues:
    • AI can be idiotic at times, and they might crash on their own
    • Frame rate drops when cars get teleported
    • Unsure if this is compatible with all mods

    For real now, this is one of the best scenarios I played for a long time. I didn't manage to beat it on time yet (was close though), but only because I chickened out and didn't overtake one of those big vans on the uphill section.

    Great setting. I really enjoy the randomness of traffic. A great run could be killed just before finish by some grandpa and a H-Series blockin' the hole road :-D fantastic!

    I love the concept of AI traffic in BeamNG (I once suggested it on the forum including the idea of teleporting AI cars when they're out of view) and it's amazing that it can be done via a mod. I didn't know that. Amazing work and I look forward to more scenarios like this. I have yet to beat this one but I enjoy the challenge and the "life" that AI traffic brings to BeamNG.
