Heltom Fab SS3 Dualsport Buggy.

This mod was started in December 29th and its been a straight grind to get it done in time, but we did it!
This is a Dual sport buggy, meaning that its a multi-purpose build machine meant to handle the roughest desert, pre run a race, chase a race car or go up the tallest sand dunes around.
We included 7 different configs, from sand cars capable of pulling wheelies to a full on baja prerunner.

There are many optional parts in this vehicle, most of the aluminum panels are selectable with a couple wing options, there's 3 engines to choose from, different frame and suspension finishes, 9 different paint schemes, 5 bumper options with halogen and LED lights, and many accessories that you can add on to the roof rack and the interior.
The whole 3d model was crafted from scratch by bolth of us, we created all the textures using Substance Painter and Jbeamed all the parts individually.
Following the trend of the newer vanilla vehicles we decided to add a couple animated parts using triggers and hydros like the windownets and the sun visors. Same can be said for most of the switches in the dashboard.
We also decided to make some new tires that fit the car better, front sandsteer tires and new GRIPnone Baja T/A.
While it was very stressful and sometimes frustrating, the making of this mod was a lot of fun and i hope everybody enjoys what i think its one of our best mods.

Awesome mod, bit confused why a transmission would instantly detonate when going into first when it has a torque converter, never heard of that before, and i dont see why you couldn't add a optional transmission that doesnt do that, its just as "realistic".

More engine mods could be cool (yet to see one of those 1000+ hp sandrails in beam yet :) )

Guys this mod is great. The reason everyone plays Beamng and not games like Forza is because well…Beamng is just better and because the modding community. These guys made a mod that they like and they obviously just love the real thing so much they want to make the thing as close to real life an possible. Stop complaining. If you dont like the mod then delete it is this dudes mod and he made it how he wants it. When the SP Dunekicker was released everybody was a little upset about no 4x4 configs but in the end everyone got over it because trophy trucks are supposed to be rear wheel drive. Just saying this guy made the mod as good as possible and just because yall dont like it doesn’t mean it is a bad mod. It just means it takes some practice to get used to. Yall are really trying to act like yall didn’t spend hours trying to drive the Dunkicker when it first released just to find out you cant drive a 800hp rear wheel drive car. Same here.

love this mod just reinstalled after not using for a while and it is still awesome!!! just curious, i dont know much about sandcars tbh, but the ones ive seen have a seq with a clutch, what is the advantage of a seq with a converter? No hate ive just never seen that before, love the attention to detail to make this car 1 to 1 with the real thing, the idea of an auto sequential just blows my mind

This is a really solid mod, but the new transmission really gets in the way of having fun. To see the creators dig their heels in behind the excuse of "it's more realistic this way" is disappointing, and I don't see why it's an issue to include both transmissions.

For everyone thinking that the new lame transmition system is absolute dogsh!t, theres the 1.01 here and it work perfectly fine now, and Yes i'm actually mad at the creator because i was troubleshooting the mod and basically the entire game thinking it was Beamng itself the problem just because it auto updated, nice one Modding for dummies contest winner for obliterating literally the best offroad vehicle and forcing people to rollback to older versions from third parties sites, and thats for the ones that actually know that we can download old version of mods and that they know were to look

  The mod is not broken, we didnt fuck up anything on the transmission... Thats how these cars are in real life, you NEED to have the engine off when going into 1st gear or Reverse if you dont the whole thing will literally blow up. Theres a message that pops up telling you to do it in game...
