    ~ Intro ~
    Thanks to a partnership between gavril and Ibishu in the late 70's allowing Ibishu's to be sold in gavril's showrooms, They came up with the idea of a making USDM/LHD spec variants of the beloved claria to boost sales again. Resulting in the birth of two top of the line models named the GT RoadSport sporting gavril's classic 291 cui smallblock and the DeLuxe equipped with their newly developed 261 cui diesel v8 engine and fake wood trim. Though not many were ever sold and the partnership fell apart in 1979. Apart from it becoming a rare collectible in it's OEM form, outside of the factory a unique variant was used for nascar/stock car racing. And sometimes it was hot rodded.

    Since the day i layed my eyes on this magnificent mod, I always wondered, what if it had a huge ass v8 engine crammed inside of it?
    Now that I've started modding myself, it is a reality. well, sort of, it isn't very huge but it is certainly crammed in there.
    I hope LJ and Vibestation don't mind me expanding and making up some lore for the USDM market.
    I've tried to make these variants fitting to the look of their period, and yea, I know a import wagon turned USDM spec with an even more gas guzzling v8 engine in the middle of a gas crisis that was also raced, doesn't make that much sense.
    But first and foremost this is supposed to be a fun mod that fits the lore in some way. So, nobody's gonna read all that so just ENJOY c:

    This mod adds multiple petrol/diesel v8 engines into the claria with a decent amount of customization. And a few extra bits
    as well as 2 factory spec and 2 Custom Configs.

    B R O U G H A M (pronounced 'brome')

    I love this mod, it's great fun taking the top-end configurations and stuffing a huge V8 with the least amount of power in the engine bay, making them beige, and creating the (almost) ultimate Brougham wagon. The LHD conversion is very useful, as well.

    Über awesome, I am personally not into Oval racing, but the Claria Oval config is perfect for the Nordschleife. Breaking the 8-minute-barrier soon, I guesstimate.

    Handling: 10/10

    Maybe if you are interested give the LHD Unibody the Drift/Race overfenders it doesn't have yet. That would make for some interesting configs.

    Great engines, would love to see them in a vanilla car someday, very high quality mod. one question though, why are the engines only available in one body even though there seems to be no changes to the body to make them fit?

      it's because the LHD/USDM mod changed slot types for it's interior

    Great! I only have one wish: could you please make default configurations for each engine? It´s just too inconvenient to have to change engine and fuel/diesel tank everytime. Thank you!

    Very awesome mod, Built a drag car and had a ton of fun tuning it to the fastest I could get it to go. Would love some addons to put down more power!

    this mod is 1 trillion percent amazing, but a small improvement can be made:

    the addition of the 353 and 427 engines to complete the v8 trio and give us a faster v8 claria. anyway, this mod is one of the best for the claria.

      Thank you! Physically I can't really do it since I already had to very slightly shrink the engine to make it fit, but I might add a larger bore engine in the future.

    Excellent! I put the engine of the Oval racer into the Drift configuration, and this makes it now a really great drift car. Although it is not the first V8 for the Claria (there was a Vortec 5300 you could put in from an engine mod) it is a very fun V8! Thank you!
