    Hi everyone! :)

Here comes my new car, the drift variant of the Initiale Vaucluse:

This is a heavily modified Vaucluse GTF. It has a weight of only 985kg instead of 1500kg, thanks to the stripped interior. Of course, the Vaucluse Touge is equipped with a RWD transmission and a welded differential.
This car uses a high revving 2.4L boxer 4 engine, producing 310hp. It may seems a bit underpowered for a drift car. In fact, it’s more than enough, has you can see in the demo video. But I will maybe work on a more powerful configuration, I still don’t know yet.

Of course, you need a lot of practice if you want to do some clean drift session, but it’s quite easy with this car, even if you play with a gamepad. I can’t really explain you how to drift, simply because it’s a lot of feeling and improvisation, but I can give you two advices:
    • Be gentle with the throttle, don’t try to go fast. Take your time, and give just enough power to maintain the slide
    • Don’t be afraid to use the handbrake, you will need it to place you rear in some corner, even if you are already in the middle of a corner. You can also use it if you have to change of direction.
    Global specs:

That’s all I have to say, I hope you will like it! :)

Look awesome as usual. But drive like Dodge Viper which want to kill you every turn. LOL

Hi, thanks for the review! :)

I am working on it, I need to try different things to find the best solution to fix this issue ^^'

For the moment, the two best solution are the following:
      - using a open diff (a LSD doesn't solve the problem)
      - using an AWD transmission with a tunable torque repartition, but the car will not drift anymore, it will powerslide. So it's easier to handle, but it's less satisfying

The thing is that I really enjoy playing with the current version, so, if I want to keep it as a configuration, I need to develop a whole new set of suspensions and transmissions, add them as custom parts, and create the corresponding configurations. It's a lot of work, and I don't have many free time lately, so the update will take some time :P

I can see the complaint of "twitchy" though once it gets into it's groove it balances out a bit. I would say this is a car for experienced wheel drifters, and it would be a hell of a lot of fun then!

Automation isn't fair when it comes to rear tyre grip. Especially since this uses similar widths front and rear. I'd be happy to make a balanced custom rear tyre for the collab and upload it as a new mod ;)

      Thanks for the return :)

I am still working on the AWD variant, and I can already tell that it's a lot of fun too, but I don't have that much time to works on my cars currently :(

Feel free to do it! You can release your variant for yourself if you want! ;)

It certainly is... drifty. Even if I wanted to go in a straight line with it, I can't. Not on a keyboard. I'm guessing I need at least a gamepad for fine control, because it spins out SO easily. So, nice design, but from my experience, not very driveable, since I'm a keyboard driver. I prefer my Basilisk for that. More controllable.

3/5 for the nice design, though.

Hi, thanks for the review :)
Well, as I have said, this car needs a lot of practice indeed. Thanks to warn me that you can't do anything using a keyboard. Sadly, I don't think I can optimize it for keyboard users, so I will probably add an AWD transmission, with a torque repartition of maybe 10/90 front/rear. I will do some test, maybe it will take a more powerful engine to do that :)

But I have to say that you can't really compare your car with mine. An AWD car can't drift, it can
do powerslides, which is a completely different thing, and it's way easier to handle. It will be the same story with the possible future AWD variant of my car. So, yes, with a keyboard, your car is probably more pleasant than mine, you have the point ;)

For the design, I am quite proud of it tbh, with the little jokes and weird things around the car, so I am glad to know that you liked it :P
