Laguna Salada (Short Loop) 1.0.31

256+km² map based on Laguna Salada Baja California Mex. using real terrain and real race maps.

    Scratch made 256km² map using real terrain data based on the desert around Laguna Salada in Baja California Mexico. This is the "Short Lap" version. Race lap is based on real race courses in the area. One loop is 33+ miles long. Terrain is scaled to 75% real size due to game engine limitations. Long course version is planned for the near future if this is a hit (will be 50+miles).
    This version is "Slimmed down" to fit the server limit of 480mb (tuned down textures)
    As this is my first map ever please feel free to send me suggestions, comments or tips!

    Pretty good map but please don't rename the mod file during updates, it makes replacing old files (when you have hundreds of them) difficult.

    Man you really put alot of thought into this. Even down to the rocks that get you when you are least expecting it. This has now become my fav off road map. Great high speed runs and good tech areas, Nice work.

    The map is great but the trails are a bit narrow though I don't know if it's meant to be like that, and you should add a time trial.

      Everything except the wide sand river parts are ment to be narrow. There I can definitely improve but I can't seem to get the right "feel" for the riverbed areas I need to experiment more. Time trail will come on the next version for sure.
