The Lake Farsoe map in BeamNG.drive is visually appealing and showcases a lot of creativity, but several critical bugs significantly hinder the gameplay experience. These issues have persisted for months without being addressed. The bugs I’ve encountered so far include:
1) Missing Textures in the City: Certain walls in the city display "NO TEXTURE," which breaks immersion and detracts from the otherwise polished environment.
2) Traffic Lane Misalignment on Large Roads: On the map’s expansive roads, spawned traffic incorrectly utilizes three lanes instead of two, as if an extra lane exists. This leads to unrealistic driving behavior and visual inconsistencies.
3) Non-Functioning Parked Cars: When enabling the option to spawn parked cars along with traffic, no parked cars appear in the designated spots throughout the city. The parking spaces remain empty, making the city feel less lively.
4) Traffic Ignoring Traffic Lights: Traffic vehicles completely disregard traffic lights, driving through red signals as if the lights don’t exist. This severely disrupts the flow of simulated traffic.
5) Right-Turn Crash at a Specific Junction: At one particular road junction, traffic cars attempting to make a right turn consistently crash into oncoming traffic. It seems as though the AI isn’t properly programmed to navigate around obstacles or follow the intended road path at this spot.
