The original Kitsune was introduced in 1969 with two factory versions of the car, This was both introduction of the GTR name and the 4l i6 that was used until 1983 in some variation. While only two factory versions were produced a limited edition race version is shown. The Kitsune was an instant success both at home and across other countries.
The Kitsune (F2) was introduced in 1972 along with the GTR and GTS versions, the GTS was a GTR with out the widebody and aimed at a more luxury audience. The GTS of this version used the same tuned engine out the older GTR making the GTS a dangerous drive. Due to issues outside of Lazuli Motors' control sales for the more premium versions to be canceled with the GTR stopping production in 1973 and the GTS in 1974 making these the rarest versions of the Kitsune.
The Kitsune (F6) started production with the base and GTS in 1998 with the GTR starting production in 1999. The F6 used a brand new engine allowing for the Twin Turbo GTR to produce almost 430hp, the F6 GTR was also AWD. For this generation the GTS used a modified Base engine and was in-fact closer to the base model than the GTR.
