A bag of MONEY!

    What is it?
    It's a ~100-lb bag of "gold coins".

    What's it good for?
    • Bank heists
    • Armored car stuff
    • Mafia RP
    • Drop it on your friends when they ask when they're gonna get paid. (It will collapse vehicle roofs.)
    • The most expensive truck nutz

Awesome! How do I get it?
    1. Download this mod.
    2. Spawn as many money bags as you want.

    Known Issues
It's limp, like a cloth bag should be, and it looks like it's carrying something, but it's not perfect. It has some issues.
    1. If dropped from high enough, the bag will turn inside out, somehow. This can be visualized with the collision triangles (coltris) debug option, which is toggled on/off via Ctrl-T. When first spawned, the correct side of the coltris (the green side) is facing outward. After dropping from an excessive height, the wrong side of the coltris (the purple side) is facing outward. I don't know why this happens.
    2. Even though the bag's jbeam appears to be stable, it's exploded before. I don't know why it blew up. It's very limp, and doesn't oscillate. It's only exploded once for me, so it appears to be rare. UPDATE: One user reported consistent money bag instability if 16 bags are loaded in an H-Series van, then the van is driven at ~40 mph. I'm going to check this out. UPDATE: I replicated the instability. Now I need to figure out why. UPDATE: The money bag can be unstable under certain circumstances. Maybe softer, flimsier objects don't react well in some situations. For example, I tried to float an Inflated Mat on the ocean, and it became unstable & blew up, even in 1/100 speed slow-motion. I'll make the money bag stiffer and see what happens. UPDATE: I made the money bag softness adjustable in v0.2. A softer money bag (adjusted towards 0) behaves more like a soft cloth bag should, but may occasionally exhibit instability. A stiffer/bouncier money bag (adjusted towards 1) is much more stable, but behaves more like a medicine ball or basketball.
    Plans for the Future
    • I'd like to have the bag make a dropped-bag-of-coins sound when it gets dropped. Maybe I can register for an "onCollision" event or something, and emit a bag-o-coins sound when that happens... Hmmm...
    • I'd like to make the texture look more like cloth.

Recent Updates

  1. Hopefully fixed instabilities

Works as described, it would be fun if you hid the loot all over the map as a little easter egg

Thank you for the positive review. :)

I can mod levels to include additional static objects, but, since the money bag is a "vehicle", I'm not sure how to get it to become resident on a map. I could, however, build some scripts that sprinkle money bags around various maps. Just call the script for the map you're on, and money bags appear.

I should also modify the money bag so that cars can pick it up and carry it with a trailer hitch.

Yeah, but it's a bit bland. Needs salt.
