MAN D2066 Engine for the DT40L 1.0

MAN 18.310 POWER!!!

  1. MrRadYT
This is the MAN D2066 LUH Engine series for the DT40L

It comes with 5 power ratings from 310HP to 420HP, custom sounds, realistic torque curves, and data recorded by me that has been used for the engine dynamics

    Video demonstrating the engine

Its a close as possible as I can get it. I divided the torque values from the spec sheet by half, and then used the turbo to make up for the lost power. This is how I got the different power ratings while still having a turbo that pushes a lot of boost even at the lowest power

I recorded my own data for this mod, which was idle, redline, kickdown and shifting RPM. I also tried to match the interior sound as good as possible and got pretty close. I tried to match the shifting of the 604 to what it is in real life, in a MAN 18.310 bus, as thats the one that I based this mod off

This engine is best used with a ZF Ecomat 6HP-604/C transmission from my other mod, the Wentward Transmission Pack, with a 310hp turbo for maximum realism, as thats the config that I based this off. It can also be realistically used with the Voith DiWA 864.5 gearbox with a 320hp turbo, as it is in real life too.
But this is BeamNG.drive, so do whatever you want! Theres no limits!

Fantastic engine im so pleased that we have a different engine that now works with the latest update to the bus as other people who made engines for the wentward never seemed to update them. Keep up the good work if you have anymore coming in the future

Thank you! Glad to see that you enjoy the engine. I hope for my new mod to be the Scania DC9 series of engines.
