The McLarry VELOCITY (P20): record smashing
*USE AIR SPEEDOMETER FOR ACCURATE SPEED READING*

    HighresScreenshot00296.png

The Engineers at McLarry have pulled off the seemingly impossible with the release of the latest VELOCITY prototype codenamed P20. The car uses its twin turbo V10 hybrid (insanity hybrid) and ultra slippery low drag body, to propel itself to a mind boggling top speed of 822mph! McLarry has also increased the detailing on the VELOCITY with the new colour and addition of VELOCITY lettering being added. Cornering performance is also not left out as the car pulls 1.38g to maximise the available tarmac.
Now also features daytime running lights.

    Top speed: 822mph / 1322kph
    Power: 3500hp+ / 2610kw+
    Torque: 2000lb-ft+ / 2710Nm+

(I have no idea what unit to use)
    cornering g-force: 1.38g

In order to get the best top speed run, I advise changing gear manually using the realistic shifting mode and manual mode on the DCT gearbox. for the smoothest run, shift into 3rd as soon as you set off and change gear at 5000rpm (roughly).

you can still hit the top speed by putting it in drive and mashing the button but it wont be as smooth.

    rough patches: 300-400mph (480-650kph) and 750mph+ (1210kph+)

The McLarry VELOCITY GTR (P20 GTR): a downgrade with good reason

    HighresScreenshot00475.png

The McLarry VELOCITY GTR is the VELOCITY's track focused hardcore sibling which like the VELOCITY is still in testing stages. However to get accurate data, the vehicle is presented here in something close to its final form. The VELOCITY GTR however cannot do 800mph, instead a much more humdrum 220mph. this means that it isn't even the fastest vehicle in its class! neither is it the most powerful. But...there is method in this madness...THIS CAR IS DRIVABLE! shocking I know, but with its improved weight distribution curtesy of its new powerplant and weight saving measures the VELOCITY GTR is currently the fastest cornering car I have made to date. With an unheard of cornering G-force of 1.43g the VELOCITY gains back what it lacks from its 2 main competitors from
Anton-Marthan and Branston, in the corners. VELOCITY GTR is powered by a 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 and uses a 7 speed sequential transmission with heavily rear biased AWD. As this is a track car, full power is only available at the very top end, with a notable power and torque increase at around 5500-6000rpm.
    Power: 1200bhp @ 8800rpm
    Torque: 813lb-ft @ 6800rpm
    Top speed: 220mph / 365kph
    Max G-force: 1.43g

I cross checked the V8s bore with that of the McLarens 4.0 TT V8 and used a flat plane crank to make sure that the sound heard is vaguely similar to that of the real engine (codenamed the M840T).

    How to launch:
    - Apply hand-brake and brakes
    - Engage first gear
    - Apply full throttle while holding brakes and hand-brake
    - Release hand-brake and brakes

    0-62mph /100kph time should vary between 1.8 - 1.9 seconds.

The McLarry S20: (slightly) More attainable performance

    HighresScreenshot00464.png

The McLarry S20 is the first McLarry supercar! also the first McLarry to use a RWD setup. The S20 offers similarly physics bending performance to that of the VELOCITY and VELOCITY GTR only in a slightly smaller, less powerful but equally exhilarating package. With a 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 and a dual clutch 7 speed transmission, the S20 can go from 0-62mph/100kph in under 3.0 seconds! add to that impressive aerodynamics to provide 1.27g of cornering g-force and you have one impressive package.
    Power: 800hp @ 7400rpm
    Torque: 670lb-ft @ 4700rpm
    Top speed: 222mph / 357kph
    cornering G-Force: 1.27g

I cross checked the V8s bore with that of the McLarens 3.8 TT V8 and used a flat plane crank to make sure that the sound heard is vaguely similar to that of the real engine (codenamed the M838T).

    How to launch:
    - Apply hand-brake and brakes
    - Put in to drive
    - Apply throttle while holding hand-brake and brakes
    - Release all brakes
    0-62mph / 100kph should vary between 2.8 - 3.0 seconds

McLarry S20 GTR: RWD track machine

    HighresScreenshot00483.png

The S20 GTR is the hardcore track focused version of the S20 supercar. with race tyres stiffened suspension and slightly more power, the S20 GTR gives you the cornering prowess of the VELOCITY GTR while giving a more exhilarating raw feel as a result of its RWD platform. The car uses a 7 speed DCT and a lightly re-tuned version of McLarry's 3.8 litre TT V8.
    Power: 840hp
    Torque: 700lb-ft
    Top speed: 210mph
    Cornering G-force: 1.40g

I cross checked the V8s bore with that of the McLarens 3.8 TT V8 and used a flat plane crank to make sure that the sound heard is vaguely similar to that of the real engine (codenamed the M838T).

    How to launch:
    - Apply hand-brake and brakes
    - Put in to drive
    - Apply throttle while holding hand-brake and brakes
    - Release all brakes
    0-62mph / 100kph should vary between 2.8 - 3.1 seconds

Awesome car! I was able to get it up to 750mph (airspeed) before it became too uncontrollable to gain any speed. It took over 5 miles at almost a minute to slow down from 750. It's insane :)

Ah I forgot to update the brakes :/ will do that soon (I found out you could get fade less godmode brakes if you hunted around in the JBeam files for the car!
Don’t expect an update for that soon as I’m trying to create a Deo competitor though am also busy elsewhere :).

      Thankyou for the review!

Extremely well tuned I may have to look at this car more in detail in Automation, also I may have to have it tuned up a bit see if my private tuner can improve the performance of it even more to get well over 300mph because at times it flickered to 301mph which isnt too bad, but I think there is more in it I suspect....

      Author's Response
I look forward to seeing what your private tuner can do :)
I admit that it seems the transmission tuning and the drivetrain as a whole seems to have an issue at the top end, as in both the 6th and 7th gears, acceleration decreases greatly.
      Thanks for the review!

Nice car! But i can`t reached 300mp/h. I reached 469~470km/h before lose control. Anyway its a very cool car! Inspired by the creation of my own 400+km/h car

      Author's Response
Ah, yes high speed dynamics are somewhat shaky and unless your very steady you’ll struggle to reach 300mph/480kph. This may be difficult for me to find out as I’m using a PS controller on a PC and use the motion controls for steering. I will attempt to retune the handling but have been struggling to make it any stabler. Thanks for the review though! :) If you have any ideas as to how to improve stability, please share them.

I would try to lower the brake pads to alot lower number. If the brakes are still to aggressive then start taking rotor size down or less piston calipers. I was able to make my cars more stable under braking just by taking the pads down to 20-30. Doesnt help the car in automation but does in beam. Hope that helps

Thankyou, I’ll try that when I next get on a computer, will try and improve the cars over steering nature although I’ve tried quite a lot and cant tame it. I’ll update the vehicle at some point
      Hopefully decent brakes will help.:)
