Model C Gen 3 1.0

Model C in the early 1980's

  1. CNCharger
In 1979. Model C made a comeback with the most radical redesign since Calvinator first started. Now you could turn your Model C into a roadster with a T Bar. And the base model 1980 Model C S now had 205 BHP and was capable of 147 mph.

In 1980, the 1981 Model C SS came out, and it boasted 475 BHP. Royal Motors wanted to show that cars should always be fast, even when all other companies wanted slow cars. The Model C SS went 165 mph.

In 1981, the 1982 Calvinator Model C SR came out, and it was the first Model C to have all wheel drive. This car had 555 BHP and a top speed of 185 mph.

Then in 1982, CRM became its own actual brand, not just a second stop for performance cars in the manufacturing process. 1983, the new Model C Warrior comes out after no production for 10 years as the 1984 CRM Model C R Warrior. It has 663 BHP and goes 196 MPH. 0 to 60 wasn't as quick as the previous gen of Model C, but nothing else could keep up at the time, so it didn't really matter.
