ModRec RX240 2020 1.1

A track-prepped supercar

  1. TheCrySick
    Hi everyone! :)

The ModRec RX240 is a track-prepped modern recreation of the BRMC R240 ST, made by @G-Farce some times ago:

This car comes with a lot of parts available in the part selector of BeamNG and 5 configurations. Each configuration has an in-game description.

With a weight of 1240kg and a extrem aero configuration, this car is simply glued to the road. The grip is even better than on my replica of the Arrinera Hussarya GT, a GT3 car, I have built using the real specs of the car. But the most impressive part of the ModRec is the brake system, it’s incredibly effective! You need to try it to understand! :p

The engine of the ModRec is the 2.5L high revving Boxer 4 that you can also find in the Initiale Vaucluse or in the EMG S160.

Because this engine is not so powerful, it can be equipped with 4 different superchargers, offering a wide range of power:
    • Stock: 310hp
    • Stage 1: 365hp
    • Stage 2: 415hp
    • Stage 3: 500hp
    • Stage 4: 630hp
To send this power to the ground, you can choose between 3 gearboxes:
    • 6-speed manual gearbox
    • 6-speed DCT
    • 6-speed sequential gearbox
Finally, with each gearbox, you can choose between 2 transfer cases:
    • A simple RWD transfer case
    • The T.A. Tech transfer case, coming directly from my Initiales. It’s a AWD transfer case with a tunable torque reparation, which can switch in a RWD mod at any time without any loading, you just need to clicks for that.
For the final touches, I have made some other Jbeam edition on this car, here is what I have add:
    • A horn, because why not?
    • Suspensions sounds
    • Gearbox whine for the manual and the sequential gearboxes
    • Multi-mod ESC (standard, sport, track, off)
    Global information (stock engine, RWD):

I hope you will like it! As always, feel free to send me any criticism! :)

Superb handling, paper-easy to drive, and fun! One thing though... pieces tend to fall out of the cars on even the slightest bump :P . Too many extraneous wings and whatnot, and they tend to get stuck on the wheels when they fall off. Maybe firm them up a bit?

Oh, and the kind of ESC you used on them seems to not work well with the decoupled front diff. So RWD mode is a bit - weird - when accelerating. Same problem as with the Aurigas with the same diff and ESC.

In AWD mode they're superb, but RWD mode doesn't seem to work too well.

      Thanks for the review :)

This is a track car, so it's not supposed to take bumps :P
But I will look to limit that!

Well, just like the Auriga, the AWD is needed on the most powerful variant if you are looking for pure performance! but it work just fine in RWD if you turn the ESC off, even if it's not as efficient as the AWD mod ;)
