Most Wanted Mission 0.2.2

With this mod you can enjoy car chases from heat level 1 to heat level 6.

    This MOD is available from the Map in Freeroam mode. (NOT Scenarios)
    If the mission is not shown, please reload the Lua and UI (Ctrl + L, then F5)
    , and please note that the mission marker will not be displayed if you disable the challenge marker option. See [Options] -> [USER INTERFACE] -> [Show challenge markers].
    The mission category is "Evade (Most Wanted Mission)".



    Overview:
    I added a little flavor to the original Evade mission. You can enjoy heat level 1-6 car chases. UI of this mod is respect to 'Need For Speed Most Wanted'(2005).

    Features:
    The only condition to clear the mission is to escape from the police car. It's easy to escape, but it's difficult to get a high score.

    Maps:
    This mission is available in the following maps.
    East Coast USA, Italy, Utah, West Coast USA

    Repair:
    During missions, you can repair your vehicle by two ways.
    1. Entering a gas station.


    2. CRASH BREAKER (by pressing repair key)
    Before you use it, you should charge the gauge. The gauge is charged by risky driving: Drifiting, Speeding and Wrong way driving. If you take risks, you can get the reward.

    Options:
    There are 3 options in this mission.
    • Start Heat Level (1~6)
    • Max Heat Level (1~6)
    • Use Simple (Use simplified police or not)

    Performance notice:

    • Simple police use less CPU resources, so you can enjoy car chases with more police vehicles.
    • Loading time and memory usage increase as the heat level range increases. The higher the maximum heat level, the higher the CPU usage. Lower the FPS, the dumber the AI becomes.



    Experimental features:
    UI of this mod is also available in Freeroam mode. UI names are as follows.
    • UI for most wanted mission
      • Main UI
    • Navigation UI Mod for Most Wanted Mission
      • minimap with flashing police cars

    When using in Freeroam mode, check [Options] -> [GAMEPLAY] -> [Show traffic vehicles on UI map], otherwise police vehicles will not be displayed.

    If you want to see your RAP SHEET, click the gear mark on the upper left of the "UI for most wanted mission". (If it doesn't respond, press F5 to reload the UI.)


    I have also created a ranking page on my personal blog, so you can upload your result. (Sorry but this page only shows top 50 rankers.)



    Known issue:
    • Sometimes the simulation stops at the start of a mission. Press the pause/unpause button or restart the mission.
    • In some cases, police or roadblocks may despawn at the wrong time.

    Great mod, but I wish the AI was better and more tactical. Also, the AI seems to not be able to follow me through offroad areas without any marked roads.

      Thank you for your bug report. I found that this mod is not compatible with BeamNG.drive v0.31. I will fix it as soon as possible.

    its good but. why the east coast usa i get like 8 fps in the lowest can it be like the Utah.

      I apologize for the inconvenience. This mod uses BeamNG.drive's traffic system, but sometimes vehicles may fail to spawn and reduce FPS in this mod. I cannot make sense why this happen. I hope I can fix it in the next update...
      Resetting the mission (press R twice) or restarting BeamNG.drive may resolve the issue.

    This is very fun! Can you create one based on NFS Heat, with even more intense levels, so maybe there are rhinos and faster police cars, like the Scintilla? Also, can you tell me the changes on all 6 heat levels in this mod? Thank you!

      Thank you for your review! Rhinos is a great idea and I would like to implement it. However, since I don't have enough knowledge, it will take some time to implement it.
      If the "Simple Police" option is enabled, up to 16 police vehicles will be spawned in 6 heat levels, but the vehicle type will not change. If the "Simple Police" option is disabled, there will be fewer police cars, but you can see faster police cars such as the Scintilla, Sunburst, etc. in 6 heat levels.

    This mod is great to play with, but I keep getting a bug where it spawns WAY too many police cars and it doesn't stop. I had it set to heat level 1 which was only meant to spawn two police cars, but it ended up spawning a bunch of police vehicles from different heat levels. I also checked the Lua console, but no errors came up. I have no idea what could be causing this bug, or if other people are experiencing the same issue as me.

      Thank you for your bug report. I have also reproduced the bug in my environment. I think it's because my mod is not compatible with v0.28. I will fix it as soon as possible.
