Beta Nizhny Avtomobilny Zavod [NAZ] / NAZ-ALINA Car Pack 3.0

Russia's #1 Most Popular Carmaker Since 1966!

Nizhny Avtomobilny Zavod [NAZ] / NAZ-ALINA Car Pack

Back in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Soviet car producer NAZ made a series of vehicles based loosely on the Ibishu Miramar. They also created the NAZ 2112, which pre-dates the Hopper. Those vehicles became icons of the cold war, and went on to be produced long after the fall of the USSR. They were well-known for cheap, reliable cars that were built to last. NAZ produced cars mainly from 1976 until 1991, when the company rebranded to NAZ-ALINA. The company continued to make NAZ cars under the new name. They still produce cars, just not as many as they used to. Nowadays, certain NAZ and NAZ-ALINA cars like the 1212 and 5102 are highly coveted, and joked about on internet forums. Enjoy!

Cars made by NAZ and NAZ-ALINA include:

    NAZ 5102
    NAZ 6102
    NAZ 7102
    NAZ 7102 "KGB Special"
    NAZ 1212
    NAZ 2112
    NAZ 2112 "Voyennyy"
    NAZ 2112 "Voyennyy Politsiya"
    NAZ 5102 "Politsiya"
    NAZ 9000
    NAZ GOPNA-13
    Ibishu Signature
    NAZ-ALINA 7102 Executive
    NAZ-ALINA 2112 Legenda
    NAZ-ALINA Semya

    Coming soon:

NAZ 5202: "Performance" version of the 5102
    NAZ-ALINA 7102 Legenda: Revamped 90s version of the 7102

HUGE thanks to Erik Marberg for letting me use their USDM Miramar for this mod!

Anyway, I'll be adding more variants to this pack soon, like some police cars and more options for models. As you probably already guessed, NAZ is based on VAZ, and some of the cars in this pack are based off of the VAZ/Lada 2105, 2107, 2121, and other cars like them. The 7102 "KGB Special" is based on the Volga-24. But I will be adding more cars soon. This mod is a configuration pack meant for the Ibishu Miramar, ETK-800, Gavril Barstow, Burnside Special, and the Ibishu Hopper.

    Required mods:

    Ibishu Miramar 690
    Ibishu Mudimar USDM
    Hopper Roof Colors Mod
Eastern Countries Police Skinpack (For USSR police paints)
    Burnside Pacific Mod
    Gavril Barstow Coupe Mod
    Burnside Polonia Mod

Information on some of the more interesting NAZ and NAZ-ALINA cars:

    isig.jpg
    The 1980 Ibishu Signature:
Labeled and sold exclusively from 1980 to 1982 in Canada, the Ibishu Signature is in reality an imported NAZ 5102, that has been rebadged with Ibishu logos and made a bit more luxurious. This was done so Canadians wouldn't know the car was actually a Soviet NAZ in disguise. The Ibishu Signature was rare for the time, and still is, with only around 10 known examples left in the world, with one being located in the NAZ-ALINA Factory's Museum section.

    7102kgb.jpg
    The 1976 NAZ 7102 KGB Special / 1991 NAZ-ALINA 7102 Executive:
In 1976, NAZ offered the KGB a special version of the 7102 with chrome trim and a larger engine. However, once the USSR collapsed and NAZ rebranded, the car became the 1991 NAZ-ALINA 7102 Executive.

    semya.jpg
    The NAZ-ALINA Semya:
Since 2014, NAZ-ALINA has produced the Semya in a partnership with ETK and Cherrier. The Semya uses ETK-800 engine and body panel parts, while the Cherrier aspect of the car comes in the form of the rims. The Semya is still made today!

    g13.jpg
    The 1956 NAZ GOPNA-13:
Made with copied parts taken not only from the Burnside Special, but also the Polonia and Pacific, the NAZ GOPNA-13 was a mix-matched mess of a car that used a horribly slow and groggy engine design used in the Polonia. The reason the car exists, and why it resembles an American car so much are unknown, and not many of these weird cars are left. But this wasn't the only time NAZ took an American car and made it worse...

    9000.jpg
    The 1966 NAZ 9000:
Oh, boy. This car is bad. Very, very bad. So bad, I needed to use that many italicized words. But I digress. The NAZ 9000 was almost exactly identical to the Gavril Barstow, but it had an odd feature- a notchback. Usually, this was only seen on the smaller Barstow F2 in America, but the Soviet NAZ 9000 had ripped off the full frame design of the Barstow to make the 9000, and the strange notchback design and underpowered engine caused the car to be a horrid disaster to look at and drive.

Funny internet post regarding a particularly resilient 5102:

Truly great mod it's just, I have this issue where the taillights, radiator support, and some other things are just gone. The hood option is even missing in the vehicle config. I have every required mod installed. Would be great if you could fix this.

Make them their own vehicles. If it's a different brand, it should have its new category, otherwise it dirties the menus and shatters the illusion

I might be able to make some sort of unbadged Soviet Burnside, probably also under the Nizhny Avtomobilny Zavod name, but I don't know if I could get the engine in the rear. As for the Soviet Mustang, I could jerry-rig up a horrible-to-drive, slow Barstow and make it NAZ as well. Might have to makeup some new model names...
