The CityCruiser

The superminis have been a choice for daily drivers. They are small, nimble, lightweight, and they are often good. The CityCruiser is Anueis’ latest creation, and is a supermini for those who crave for perfection. The CityCruiser introduces a new kind of supermini, which was made for driving pleasure.


Chassis
Sharp handling and comfortable ride quality mostly depends on the chassis construction. Driving dynamics is also affected by the kerb weight. To achieve lightness and chassis rigidity at the same time, the Otnas CityCruiser has semi-space frame aluminium construction, which is commonly used on supercars and aviation applications.

Suspension and Tires
To keep the CityCruiser stick to the corner, we gave double wishbone front suspension and multi link suspension at the back. The suspension setup is fine tuned to deliver sharp handling without sacrificing ride quality. The CityCruiser is equipped with six piston brakes with vented discs at the front and four pistons with vented discs at the back in case a huge amount of stopping power is needed. The Otnas CityCruiser sits on a set of alloy wheels with medium compound tires.

Powertrain
Small, yet powerful. The Otnas CityCruiser 1.5 is powered by an Inline 3 12V DOHC turbocharged engine with direct injection and individual throttle bodies that produces 150hp+ and 170Nm. The engine is able to rev to 7500rpm safely due to its strong yet lightweight internals. The turbocharger fully spools early to achieve the highest fuel efficiency. It also maintains constant amount of boost to the redline. The power is channeled to the front wheels via 7-speed dual clutch transmission with an electric limited slip differential.
