Phompsonby has always had a racing division of the company, specialising in making true thoroughbred race cars. During the final years of the 1950s, Phompsonby were looking at entering the 24 hours Le Mans race, so they spent the final few years of the '50s designing this Le Mans racer, which took part in the 1960-1964 Le Mans races until it was replaces by a newer Phompsonby model.

- A maximum of 928.7 Nm of torque.
- A top speed of 257.5 MPH.
- 0-62 in 7.3 seconds.
- Transverse RWD 4 speed manual gearbox.
- Double wishbone all round suspension.
- 1 seater!
- No exhaust muffling for that true sound and power!
