- 5/5,
i love the car, and i dont know what the broke plebs are crying about, for less than 2 dollars you can get the car. if you are that broke there are similar mods out there, the rg extreme pack has a similar handling car, but doesn't crash well and is old.

It's not bad enough. I have tested it before and It looks nice! Really like how is modeled, the headlights give me fun!
Message to the haters:
If you hate this mod, doesn't mean to give 1 or 2 star and rate with bad words on that mod. Doesn't make sense. If you don't want this mod, just leave and don't look at it.
The mod still is nice! I really enjoy it! Keep working on it! -

This car looked bad years ago and still looks bad now, it would be worth three stars if it came with features most other mods included (rally suspension, widebody kit etc.) but..... oh wait lol.

For those saying "Oh stop being annoyed about the paywall", we still are, and here's the objective reason why:
This mod is not the best mod out there, and it never will be. That's not me dissing the author, I still think this is decent, but I don't think it's good enough to deserve a paywall. A mod the quality of the FR17 or the Vertex is deserving of a paywall. Not this.
The paywall also makes no sense because there's nothing stopping a bored person from creating their own race, rally or whatever config for this car. You wouldn't even have to touch Blender to do so. So what if the author wouldn't let you distribute it? You still could make it and use it yourself.
The paywall is objectively bad and there's a reason other Beam modders don't do it for their mods. -

I've never really loved the front end styling on this thing but man it's awesome as a package. Great work on updates too! Ignore the low reviews!

Donations should be voluntary, and if a mod were to deserve to cost money, it wouldnt be this one, the quality isn't awful, but it isn't vanilla-like quality either, the car design isn't that good and the execution is average at best, and if there was to be a paywalled model, it should be a novelty "here get this little thing in reward" kind of thing, not such a core part as a the rally and race versions, i'm sorry if you get lots of reviews like this and it kills your mood to make mods and demotivates you, but precisely because you do get lots of reviews like this you should learn from it, maybe if you havent learned yet you stopping to make mods would even be positive, nothing might affect that anymore since this is your only mod apart from the other car that looks so bad i it wouldn't look out of place in unturned. And no, i'm not a greedy jerk, i've donated to non-profit modding and fan projects before, but when people start paywalling stuff, specially if it's not even high quality, then i have a problem, specially when infinitely better modders make vanilla-quality mods completely for free

Pretty good car, but loses points for not being able to change license plate design.

I REALLY like this little sports car. All most a RX-7. Great job! 5 stars!

I don't understand the hate towards the mod, yea sure it looks like it has been made in automation, but it still looks awesome! And about the supporter edition: it's not mandatory! It's there if you wanna support the creator and get a little in return! The only things that annoy me are that the car is supposed to be British, but it's LHD? And that the steering wheel has 2 spokes instead of three, but the mod is still awesome!
-
Author's Response
You make a fair point about the LHD/RHD situation. In this case its more of a pragmatic decision with regards to keeping the most people happy (since most people prefer LHD in video games). Most British car manufacturers do make LHD versions of their cars for overseas markets, so from a lore standpoint that's how I justify it.

- 2/5,
The car looks like it has been designed in Automation. The interior looks like its not designed as a whole but rather as seperate pieces stuck together. The monstertruck doesnt behave like it should and the wheels are just still too light to crush anything really. The textures look flat and the wheel problem has already been adressed by many others.
Drives nicely tho -

I love this thing! It's so fun to full send it in a tunnel, throw it around corners and play around with the features in general!
Now, due to it's light weight, it's very very VERY easy to lose control and spin into the next ditch, wall or tirewall and I don't have anything against it.
It's one of the many charms of this vehicle. It's a light RWD sportster and an amazing vehicle in general.
I'd love to be able to give an extra review on the gauge cluster of this thing.
It's a whole new dimension! I really love the way you integrated the controls of the gauges, and the ability to customise them with a timer, a g-meter, the navigaton, and cruise control directly controllable from the vehicle. Heck, you even added the ability to see your oil/water temperature and tire pressure in real-time - directly in the gauges!
Not to mention the way you implemented drivemode changing.
And of course - the monstertruck. I really love making pancakes out of pigeons with it. The exterior looks are something I can get over, and it really doesn't bother me at all considering how much work went into this from the coding/jbeaming side.
I would give 6 stars if I could.
Edit: I almost forgot the way the brake lights work, very nifty touch! -

quite good for what it is, I don't understand why people are so triggered about paywall for additional content
-
Ryo13silvia
- 5/5,
It is ridiculous that something like this should get a bad reputation for paid additional content.
Modding takes a hefty load of time, effort, and skill. It is actually surprising that there are nearly no paid mods (unlike GTA - you can make a meshslap and still expect kids to pay) despite BeamNG's sheer complexity.
This mod is 90% FREE. You pay for ADDITIONAL BLOODY CONTENT.
If you can't understand that, kids, you may as well remove yourself from this page instead of wasting your time complaining about the "paywall". -
MrJavelin
- 5/5,
Here so the "paywall reeee" reviews won't tank the rating. It's a good enough mod, and the dashboard features were a nice little touch. If you can turn a blind eye to the model which some may consider subpar, then it's a nice mod.
To the people complaining about the paid version, the repository download has pretty much all you need, the paid version is just a perk. It's not like he's demanding that you pay him. -

- 3/5,
if you want to be paid for your work, maybe consider making something worth paying for. Maybe learn to make textures and baked shadows.

good mod but if you open the parts selector the monstertruck wheels turn invisible

- 4/5,
i genuinely like this mod. it needs polish still but im glad its still being worked on despite thick and thin.
RANT:
to the people speaking out of their asses below me, mod authors have no ability to delete reviews. I should know because i am one.
The mentality that simply because a mod is "put on this website" therefore it "has to be free" is utter garbage. This mod is like 80% free, be content it exists. just because someone wants to monetize their hard work doesnt mean you get the right to shit on them because of it. Again, as a mod creator, i should know. how would the community respond if i made the custom vehicles in WBIMP paid? yeah, probably not well, and im not entirely sure its legal (because it uses BeamNG's intellectual property or something similar), but you understand my sentiment. Making paid content as long as its your own it totally legal.
Do i need to explain that nothing is free again? Get over it and move on. By your own logic you would give BeamNG itself a 1-star review because "its paid." Yeah, things with effort and time put into them generally do cost money. Count your blessings, be glad modders are as gracious as they are in even making it mostly free to begin with. because im nearing the end of my rope.
remember kids, you are entitled to nothing you dont work for.
