Four-wheeled Pigeon mod addon now released in the first post of the discussion thread. Please read the last line of text before installing/downloading the addon.
How do you fit a big engine in an Ibishu Pigeon? You install it at the back of course. This is not the first V8 Pigeon nor the first rear engined Pigeon, but it's the first rear engined V8 Pigeon.
So this is a Pigeon with a rear mounted V8, somewhat inspired by the Stubby Bob. The idea was to fit the Gavril Barstow's running gear into the Pigeon, and somehow it did happen. It's pretty fast in a straight line but thanks to a higher center of gravity and a shortened frame, it might not corner as well as a regular Pigeon. But who cares!
This mod features;
- shortened frame (for no reason)
- V8 from a Gavril Barstow placed over the rear axle of a Pigeon
- rear suspension from a Gavril Barstow
- radiator from a Gavril Barstow
- rollcage
- wheeliebar
- a couple sets of widened Pigeon rear wheels
Credits;
@DOUGL4S1 - the original idea https://www.beamng.com/threads/vehicle-suggestions-see-first-post.79/page-218#post-464988
BeamNG - the original Pigeon and Barstow parts
@machine - modeling, jbeam work
@NinetyNine! - helping with the configs, making the config previews
random idiots - testing
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE REAR AXLE IS A BIT WEAK. YOU HAVE TO BE A BIT CAREFUL WITH HARD LAUNCHES WITH THE STAGE 3 AND STAGE 4 DRAGSTERS TO NOT TO BREAK THE DRIVESHAFT AND REAR SUSPENSION. This will hopefully be fixed at a later update. Using only open diff is also recommended for easier control.
Also, please note that this is still a somewhat WIP and not a 100% finished mod.
Probably gonna continue adding some stuff to this mod at some point, but right now I want to focus on my other mods.
