New Rigel ITOKO 1998
In 1998 Rigel launched a revolutionary car for his own company on the market, the first time that the brand would create a micro concept. It is a vehicle 3.03 meters long, two-seater and with more than enough space for daily purchases in its trunk. It is cheaply built for the middle and lower classes, as well as being designed as an ideal fashion accessory, being able to choose a wide variety of colors.
This car responds to the new urban mobility solution that Rigel presents for the busiest cities and especially pays attention to Asian markets, where there are more transit difficulties. We are especially talking about Japan, where the regulation of “kei” vehicles that are small vehicles with tax advantages. These have certain characteristics that must be met, such as a size of less than 3.4 meters and a maximum displacement of 660cc.

The car will be sold in Europe, Asia and North America, it will be designed for a public that wants to be fashionable, use little gasoline and be able to park in the center of the city with style. In America and Europe it will come with two engines: a 0.6L three-cylinder and a 1.0L four-cylinder. They will be able to mount 4-speed automatic and manual gearboxes. In Japan it will only have version 0.6 with a CVT box to be sold as a kei car.
