After the R26B got banned at Le Mans, they weren't quite done with it yet. IMSA's GTP class was open to having the engine... though these cars had less downforce, they had A LOT MORE POWER. As a result, it didn't perform well, and after a year, the plug was pulled, and the Quad Rotor died was discontinued.
