The DC9 is a series of Inline 5 engines designed by Scania for their buses. They come in various power ratings, from a low 230HP to a high 320HP, and a special 394HP variant.
And I have perfectly ported them all to BeamNG!

Torque Curve (230HP)

I perfectly matched the real life engine from a Scania K230UB, with 230HP and a ZF Ecomat 5HP-504/C transmission into BeamNG.
I measured the idle RPM, shifting on kickdown RPM, aswell as recorded sound references, to then base the ingame engine off.
My recommended configuration in BeamNG for maximum realism using this engine is
- 230HP DC9 Engine with a ZF Ecomat 5HP-502/C transmission
- 280HP DC9 Engine with a ZF Ecomat 6HP-604/C transmission
