After struggling to get past the last Five years with very little profit from the previous iteration in the Scorpion S series. The CEO of Scorpion agreed with fellow marketers that this would be the last car that he would work on; and it was with that, he delivered something before uncomparable with previous versions of the S series.
It all began with a 2 Litre V8 with a new DAOHC system compared to a Pushrod system which had made fuel economy poor; the vehicle had managed to achieve a reasonable 15.1L/100Kms (15.58MPG) all with the fantastic rumble that came with a brand new Scorpion S V-Type Engine.
On top of that, Scorpion made sure that it had complied with all of the 1950's safety laws and regulations. Development of the Safety features included trying all types of engines that were compatible with the small vehicle; seeing the impact damage after a collision, and it was from these results that they had found out from such testing that Inline engines caused the most damaged to vehicle passengers. Whereas V-Type had managed to barely reach the crumple zones and had taken most of the damage in the collision asides from the body. The newly found Tail Control system on top of that had been put into its 4th Generation of work; and with how hard the S42 has to work, Scorpion states it rarely kicks in and when in use, only reacts within 0.05 seconds of the vehicle losing grip.
On top of that, rave reviews had been a go since the next iteration within the S series due to it's handling and safe feeling. Which Scorpion had tried it's best to do since the S30.
