Great map! I've made a time trial and looking to make more, if you would be interested? Also, the new beam update makes the cattle grids no longer work and instead kill cars.

Hello, I have a problem every time I join the map, the ground and the road does not load and I fall into the water, other things like houses and trees are there

    Really nice map, thank you.

Just one very minor request since the editor crashes on my system: Could you add a few timetrials on your next update? Some routes on this map would be perfect for it.

Thank you for your review! I am looking to create my own scenarios, they are just a bit more complicated than i expected so may take me a little while to do this.

Awesome map! I loved driving around on the dirt roads, acting like a rally driver!
Also for the four star rating is because you should lower the water. The water keeps on hydrolocking my engine on PUBLIC PATHS.

Thank you, really glad you liked the dirt roads, any chance you could PM me a screenshot of where the cars get hydro-locked and il look into it.

This map has some nice roads and the points of interest are pretty well made. Couple things I'd like to mention though.

    - minor issue, but there isn't a whole lot of grass. The ferns and stuff are cool but you wouldn't really see such short grass naturally.

    - The textures don't really fit into the Highland theme. I've mainly driven on the back roads so far and the roads look really smooth and shiny, rather than the patchy rough tarmac on these kinds of roads. Also the grass is often drier and yellower than the lush green surfaces that are used here. While there are fields that are closer to the colours you used, they aren't really so common in the wilder natural areas like you've made.

    - My other two points are nitpicking tbh but one thing I would like to see is some more variety in the terrain, specifically the flat bits. I live here, trust me, there is absolutely no naturally flat ground. Everything either slowly slopes away from the sea on the east coast, has lots of extreme height variation in mountains and glens, or has hilly cliffs in the west, but this map has loads of completely flat areas. I appreciate that it would be a lot of work to remodel the whole area but it would make the map way more authentic.

    - To everyone saying the roads are too bumpy: first of all, try the "Descent road" map, but second, the roads are actually pretty flat in this map compared to some in rural parts of the Highlands, on some of those roads you'd regularly get air at 40mph. I think some smaller roads could be added that twist and turn with sharp elevation changes, it would fit well :) A little more height variation in the rest of the main roads wouldn't go badly either.

On the bright side, while the map may not represent the Highlands quite as clearly as it aims to, the roads are fun to drive on, and the mountainous areas are relatively realistic. As an Invernesian I'm excited to see how this map evolves in future. Good luck! :)

Thank you for your feedback, I'm looking into the grass as it was an error in the build I havent been able to fix correctly and il be honset im somewhat of a noob at this so I couldn't get any custom built meshes or texture working so im trying to learn how to make them. Thank you for the feedback on the roads I've been on some great roads in Scotland but my trip to do the NC500 was cancelled, im may be looking to update the map with new terrain changes in the future.

This map has excellent potential and I believe that this is will become a top quality map in no time with some patches and bug fixes. The only gripes I have about this map are the excessive bumps on and off road and the invisible hitboxes below towers and other structures. This can be fixed in the future and I am very confident in your works. Cheers!

      Author's Response
wow thank you, I'm going to look to smooth out the roads in my next update based on feedback, with regards to the invisible hit boxes is that from the radio towers?

Thank you. The roads are intended to be somewhat bumpy to try to resemble some of the roads in scotland but il be looking to smooth some of them out in the next update based on the feedback I've got.

Definitely a good map, rather bumpy, and when going at a T junction from a dirt road, the tarmac isn't solid, but its a good representation of the UK road layout (considering i'm from South East England, I wouldn't know 100% what the roads in the highlands are like, but I get what you are going for. Also, for some reason, there is large area of the map (I think its the dual carriageway) that tanks my FPS to the Mid 30's from 80+, this is on my 1650 OC, but other than that, the map is decent, however the bumpiness on the roads needs some work, and after the map has a good amounts of updates, I may even give it a 5 star.

thank you for the feedback, the bumpy sections was that mainly in the flat areas? With the fps im looking into that I belive it may be to the foilage in the forest but il check it out.
