In 1997 SPJ launched the Janeiro line, which aims at the top of the clientele, for those who are not satisfied. The design, studied in collaboration with MVR engineers, is innovative, like the engine: Rio Performance 1.9 135 Turbo, studied and designed by MVR on behalf of SPJ, which is part of the agreement. In addition to the domestic market, it is destined for the North American, European and Asian markets, in the latter only by reservation, as has always happened with official SPJ exports.

Nel 1997 SPJ lancia la linea Janeiro, che punta al top della clientela, a chi non si accontenta. Il design, studiato in collaborazione con gli ingegneri MVR, è innovativo, come il motore: Rio Performance 1.9 135 Turbo, studiato e progettato da MVR per conto di SPJ, facente parte dell'accordo. Destinata oltre al mercato domestico, a quello Nord Americano, a quello Europeo e Asiatico, in questi ultimi solo su prenotazione, come è sempre accaduto con le esportazioni ufficiali SPJ.
