Beta - The Compound

A snippet of a "small" abandoned establishment in South-East Florida where laws are not inforced.

Developed in the 1980's and abandoned soon thereafter, this compound has become a local spot for street drifting and off-roading. The Compound knows no laws. It seems that it was created to provide land for families flocking to Florida toward the end of the Cold War, when the establishment ran out of money and abandoned the project altogether.

Though there is housing, it's mostly clustered on the east side of the compound, and therefore, the west side is a maze of empty cracked roads. It's known as the Street Maze.

This spot in particular is known to the local drifting community as THE spot to street drift due to the fact that the police generally don't care and they aren't disturbing peace anyways.

This terrain is a bit small at 512 by 512, but it is [mostly] to scale with minor approximations here and there. Measurements were based off of Google Maps distances related to the length of a car, so obviously there is some wiggle room for error in scale.

If you want more of the maze tell me! I'm proud of this as my first map mod, so if you love it and you want a bigger picture of the compound, do feel obliged to message me and request it. It would motivate me to work harder and it would make my day just a little bit better each time.

  Appears that you're right! :( Might have been with that last large update. I had quite a few downloads and personal creations and mods that lost textures and functionally too, so I would not be surprised if something along the lines of this happened.
  
  I suppose this means I'll have to get around to remaking it and finally including a larger portion of the Compound. I wish I could give you a timeline, but it'll come eventually. That's a promise!!

  Thanks! And I just use the in-game editor. I went to the blank grid map, immediately saved it as a new map, then began my work from there. After I created the new terrain and such, I copied the essential files for textures and meshes I used and worked on it more. When I was finished I copied and pasted the finished terrain files into the mod folded and voila.

You definitely should add more of the compound, as well as make the grass far less forgiving. Super easy to slip off onto the grass and get stuck there IRL. Especially on balded tires.
