The Toyota Takedown was marketed as a sporty 2 door for American markets and for police to use in more high speed applications. There were two models, the base Takedown and the Takedown AWTT. The base model was RWD and was made for police and civilians (with slight differences). It came with the 1yz fe 4.3 liter V10 making 325 hp @ 7100 rpm paired to a 5 speed manual. Toyota capped it's speed at 155 mph, while the police targeted version capped at 175. These models ran from 1999 to 2007 when they discontinued it due to lack of sales. Until revived in 2016.
