Trackfab Autobello Buggy 1.01

Open-wheel buggy with autobello drivetrain and running gear

  1. TrackpadUser
Based on the numerous VW based open-wheel buggies found in various desert racing series, this is a space frame open-wheeled buggy using the Autobello's drive train and suspension, with some tweaks to make it better at going through the desert at high speeds.

Since it uses mostly original Autobello suspension, this mean you can also use the road oriented suspension to create some pretty fun road going variants.

-Autobello 1300 and 1500cc engines, with all the vanilla modification options.
-Modified stage 2 internals, to allow running them with 20psi of boost.
-Autobello 4 and 5 speed manual transmissions, along with an added 5 speed sequential gearbox.

-Off-road suspension from the Autobello with modified coil-overs to allow for more suspension travel and less harsh bump stops.

-Road suspension converted to 5-stud to allow the use of off-road tires and larger wheels.
    -Longer wheelbase for increased stability

    -Functional front and rear lights
-Interior with vanilla animated parts, GPS and functional digidash
-Skinable body with template in the car's files

Special thanks to Stoat Muldoon for testing and small tweaks to the chassis, and to the MFD guys for testing.

I love this buggy man, i have a strange texture issue with it where its all white no matter what I do, also some things have the orange missing textures on it. Im not sure what wrong with the game but I know its my game. This thing is great great sounds handling and overall design. If theres anyway you could help me with this little texture bug that would be great.

Try deleting your cache in \Documents\

That's usually the cause of weird texture problems.

awesome, but could you make it so the axles accept 6 stud wheels too? i have some good wheel mods and want to see a buggy with 60" tyres but i cant sadly

Considering there's already clipping issues with the 29in tires on STX rims, I dont plan on adding 6bolt hubs to the mod, since all the tires it adds would just clip even more.

IRL those buggies run fairly small tires as well.

If you mean 5 stud wheels, all axle options have been changed to accept 5 stud wheels only, which I think gives a decent wheel choice for the type of car.

One of my favorite mods in beam currently. Someone needs to squeeze the Legran V6, or the D Series 5.5 In here, give it some more pizzazz, Although the mod is great just the way it is, keep up the good work!
