Hi everyone, so with the new gambler 500 update the devs made this awesome little "unstable" covet with a single tractor wheel in the rear.

i really loved it, but i also felt like it was missing something...

so i did the next logical thing, and mirror the tractor wheel along with its new arm mechanism in a way that makes them work independent of each other in a free manner.

a weird quirky thing i knew needed to make as soon as i saw the first teaser with that covet

its quite a weird little beast of its own, and for the time being i dont have the time to polish it as much, but i do want to release a future update that polishes it up some more and adds the shafts again.
as of right now its an early experimental mod that is not perfect by any means. but hopefully still fun and enjoyable for yall.

by far the most annoying thing is its low clearance on the front end.. it greatly limits its offroad as a result. but it does wheelies lmao

i added a new Hi-Low transfer case which helps to pull the covet with those 2 big tractor tires.
its also 4WD now.

KNOWN BUGS:
no limit straps
Roof fuel tank is very jank and quickly made. is temporary

no driveshafts.

  literally give me a year. im a single dude working on these things.
  hopefully not more then a year lmao.
  in between life and all things, im trying my best to bring more content to beamng, but time goes by really fast. and ive got a few projects in the works :P

Don't know it it's just me and one of the mods may be conflicting, but there is no config and when I change the "Gambler 500 - The Unstable" config to have the twin rear tractor wheel body, it doesn't work at all.

  from your comment, you are not selecting the right config.
  i have not properly made the config for this vehicle yet,
  you need to tick include custom .PC configuration in the vehicle selector to be able to see the current config i made.
  
  when i get the time i will polish this mod some more and properly make the config so you can see it without the custom config thingies.
  
  for the time being its a rushed release.

It is still tippy. if you connected them in some way, it would be less so. it is not much better than the "unstable" as is. if you can fix that, i will change my rating :)

  them big tractor wheels doesnt help make it tippy.
  i often tip it if i give it too much gas and it starts sliding all over the place.
  its not an easy beast to tame. ;)
  
  but, this is a rushed project for the time being as i didnt have enough time to properly polish it, finish adding the stuff i want.
  
  in a future update i will add a tow hitch that attaches both arms together and makes them work as if its 1 big swing arm. so it is planned.

Ik this was a rushed project I LOVE IT - if both fuel tanks are installed then NASA has problems because a few fuel tanks of mine went off at mach 2 into the stratosphere never to be seen again -_- lol

I love it!
I know you won't have much time at the moment but this mod just made my mind fly and gave me so many ideas. Congrats on that man.

You could make it possible to have, 8 lug conversions, maybe also 6 lug, on these, maybe also on the original 3 wheeled version? Also as you said, the rear drive shafts would improve it a lot, and maybe have taillights on the roof rack or/and on the rear side of the 90º gearboxes where the driveshafts would attach.

Also Plasmapwrdhorse's comment made me think about something else, that would be quite a bit more complicated, the Idea is having the same thing in the front,, although it would need steering and there's not much space for these massive wheels to turn... OMG, the rear could also have steering for ultimate crawling, and the front suspension could be cantilever suspension, so to not obstruct the view too much... and I'm sorry, I have another idea, which is to make the suspension adjustable and even have hydraulics or airbags, so you can adjust the ground clearance.

I know this is way too much, as I said, this gave me so many ideas that I think would make this so much fun.

  that is a lot of great ideas!
  i might look into a 8-6 lug conversion but it would need some tweaking in the way ive made the current rear hubs work, as they currently work totally independent of each other. it will require some fiddling, no promises but ill try when i get time to work on it.
  
  as for taillights and stuff i was thinking of adding those in a future update.
  im also planning on adding a tow hitch that kinda attaches both swing arms. also considering twin tow hitch lmao.
  
  as for the insane ultimate crawling idea. i absolutely LOVE the idea. but that is like... a whole other vehicle. it is a lot of work.
  
  hopefully some other talented modder reads your review, or you try and suggest it to other modder see if they like the idea.
  
  as for me ive got so many other projects i need to work on, as well as life getting in the way. maybe in the future if nobody tried to make this 4 wheel swing arm thingy, when i have more time, ill try to make it. but no promises.
  
  i wish i could work on beamng content as a full time paid job. it would be a dream for me to keep brining quality content to beamng. i love this game.
