hi, great mod but i just need small advice. I want to change mileage of my car without changing wear. I set condition to 1, wanted mileage and wear variation to 0. It's works but color of car changes to default. What can i do to keep color?
-
Author's Response
Try setting the Paint Condition Override (which can be accessed by pressing the overrides button) to 1.
You can also set every overrides to 1 while setting the mileage to whatever you want if you simply want to change the car's odometer.

An excellent tool for cheap car challenge roleplays. Perhaps a similar tool could be made that imports career mode cars to freeroam?
-
Author's Response
While I don't have plans to do so, I do plan on adding a feature which randomizes the paint color of most body parts, which is a similar feature that exists in career mode.

While it's nice, i do think too many wrecked cars spawn, for example, if i spawn 10 cars, its mostly likely around 7 of them will be wrecked, not sure if this is caused by the option "Modded cars" though.
-
Author's Response
Try setting the Overall Condition value to 0.8 or 0.9, or set the Panels & Suspension Damage (in the override menu) at around that same value, this should result in less wrecked car spawns.

Awesome, any chance we could get the option to apply wear to cars you spawn in yourself, while preserving the paint color.
-
Author's Response
Apparently I just discovered there is a bug with version 0.5 where cars always spawn grey, it will be fixed on next update.

very epic, i really want an option to see and copy seeds of generated cars, and also modify the generated vehicle if something is not to my liking
-
Author's Response
Great ideas! I will definitely add a way to see the seed eventually. Modifying an existing generated vehicle might be a bit too complex to code, but I would still consider it in a later update.

comes in handy i guess i think its a little usless for the type of beamng stuff i do but if i needed it for like fun or etc i could definitely want this in my hands not to bad

Love this idea and concept. Looking forward to watching it develop.
Hopefully BeamNG will implement weathering on car's appearance, so we can see general dull-ness on the cars. -

Very nice work! Been waiting for a mod like this for ages, ever since the game supported the wear stuff on parts! Thank you!

Amazing mod. Some things i'd like to see in the future for the mod.
1. Ability to choose how many vehicles to spawn at once, (like the traffic number selector in the traffic ui app)
2. Ability to apply mileage and wear to current player vehicle.-
Author's Response
Thanks for the feedback!
1. You can technically do that by clicking "Random Location" a couple times, but i could see some players being annoyed to do so, might consider that idea but for a later version.
2. This is confirmed for next update! I'm just waiting for mod approval to release it.

Is there a possibility of adding a switch for Old Paint if applicable?
-
Author's Response
By Old paint do you mean the rusty livery on some cars or just the worn paint condition?
If so I did plan on adding a menu for overriding specific part conditions, including paint.

- 5/5,
Amazing! Would it be possible to add a way to tone down the colors that appear? Sometimes, I’ll happen upon a pink LeGran, and that can be a bit immersion-breaking.
-
Author's Response
I agree. The paint condition is handled via BeamNG's 'initConditions' function (used in the beta career), which essentially makes it less reflective, but can also make the paint color brighter. I might change that in the future.

Add-on to the previous review i said: Maybe there could be an option to make it seem like the vehicle got into an accident rather than all the plants just came off the vehicle, it would be more realistic for abandoned vehicle roleplays.
-
Author's Response
There is a way to add deformation damage to parts, problem is that it can be quite unstable sometimes, especially with modded vehicles. I'll probably add that but most likely in a later version.

it's a really good idea and it's already pretty well done and intuitive for and Alpha!
Can I ask for a button to minimize the window? Is that planned? thank's in advance for the future features and fixes-
Author's Response
Thanks for the feedback! I really hope to remake the UI so it can be more compact and less cluttered, once I get more experience with HTML i'll definitely add a minimize button.

Great mod ! I'd love to see the possibility to select what kind of car we want to spawn instead of it being totally random
-
Author's Response
Good Idea, i'll add that in an update eventually!
