Kind of a shame how unstable these features are. I'm guessing that's an engine limitation, huh?

Which sucks, because there's some things like Damping Scale, where you go to increase it, even by 1, and it causes instabilities. Or trying to scale vehicles.

Damping Scale shouldn't be used on its own. It's a value that is supposed to actually prevent the vehicles from being unstable. You shouldn't increase it usually, decreasing it helps in a lot of cases. About scaling, there is nothing I can do to change it, it's supposed to be used for suspension modifications and I'm using it on the whole car which generates ridiculous forces the devs definitely didn't expect the value to deal with lol. But that's the only way I could get car scaling to work, there is no better way.
I'm guessing you didn't read the mod description because there I explained the issues with scaling and why I added damping in the first place. Stuff will always be unstable when you change physics properties globally.

It worked! I made a d series that's a whole bumper shorter. it doesn't glitch (kinda) and it drives! The rear diff doesn't work tho. So fwd only. It is also overly strong since I upped the break and deform resistance to keep it from breaking. I had to lower friction to get it to drive. I also lowered stiffness and damping.

Could u add configs in the future?
    1. Agent_Y
      Author's Response
Maybe, but only for official cars. I don't want to check every mod in existence and make configs for them. I think configs are a good idea for the nearest update. I'll make weaker versions of vehicles with rusty skins and stuff.

Time to break the game in new ways!
Ideas: Global horsepower and/or torque editor (might be hard to do)
Ability to scale up in decimals (so by 1.01, 1.25, 1.65, etc)
Adding support to mods that don't have a license plate slot (like lucasbe's open wheel mods).

      Author's Response
Global horsepower and torque editor: it's WIP but it overwrites values instead of scaling them, so just using it messes up the whole engine, maybe I can somehow change it
Scaling in decimals was extremely buggy and would break the car without even changing any values so I removed that, you can still multiply one scale by another to get a similar effect, like 25 and 0.1 will get 2.5
Adding support to more mods probably isn't possible, some mods are bugged and nothing appears under the Chassis category when the mod is used, I'm not as skilled as Dummiesman to make a mod work on any mod, I know next to nothing about lua.

Awesome. Although for me, none of the sliders work at all even when i adjust them the tiniest amount, the game still breaks

If you are using them on a mod car, chances are that something in the mod is conflicting and preventing it from working properly. Similarly on an official car, if you have a mod that does a similar thing (like the weight reduction mod) it will cause conflicts. If a mod has a similar thing implemented in itself, this can overwrite it and possibly cause the car to explode. That's not something I can fix unfortunately. What you can try is decreasing damping and stiffness, it sometimes prevents the car from exploding because it changes the way energy is dispassed in the car. For some reason some mods won't support damping changes but stiffness usually works.

    Friction Scale
This part is where I automatically give 5 stars. I have always loved playing with the extra grip tires and the semi has never gotten added to that and now it's possible to have grip on the semi. This alone would've been great IMO but this sounds awesome. Going to give it a go right now.

      Author's Response
Just keep in mind that it will increase friction of the whole car, so it will behave weird during rollovers (even 2 times bigger friction makes asphalt rollovers extremely violent, and the scale is up to 1000). Thanks for a nice review!
