Cardinal, with their overall success in the car industry, was looking for some small yet useful companies to purchase. In the late 1980s, Cardinal decided on the brand of Vignale, a manufacturer that had made some successful saloons. Cardinal decided, from this point on, to rebrand their saloons to Vignale. With the company, the assets were the most recent Vignale model- the X-Series. The base model had a straight 4, produced approximately 150 horsepower and 200 N-m of torque to boost the car from 0-60 in the late 8-second range. A higher range model labelled the Premiere-10 was produced 2 years after the initial release. It had a more comfortable and prestigious interior, and a 10 cylinder with 550 Horsepower and torque It proved a success when acquired by Cardinal, as the sales doubled of the Vignale and continued to fly off the shelf until Cardinal pulled the plug of the X-series in 1995.
(The Premiere 10 model will be involved in a separate mod)
