In 2013, new CEO Adam Schwell stated that city cars are not convenient for the consumer, so he decided to turn the Xiao into a crossover. Schwell was proud of the 1 liter ZEER engine, which with its 76 horsepower guarantees around 15km per liter, an exceptional result for the vehicle we are talking about. Schwell commissioned the project entirely from Corvo, a partner already known to Zughumi. Thanks to the partnership, the car was also produced in Italy, precisely in a plant in Molise.
