When it does work, I can run 60 FPS medium settings. It just doesn't often work in the first place, and when it does it doesn't last long. It's not a graphics setting issue, I can assure you that. Here's one of the good runs that lasted until reload: Any help you need (in the form of info like logs or confirmation, I don't have the authority for QA testing) I can give you @devs for anything, after all that's what alpha testers are for. --- Post updated --- I wonder if the anomaly is I'm using an AMD GPU, you're on Nvidia. @DuneWulff what brand GPU you using? Update - Looks like AMD is having a driver issue with DX9 games, could this be causing it? https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/7ncr3y/regarding_amd_and_the_lack_of_directx_9_support_a/ Not the problem :|
You have all kind of mods running, which might not cause the issue, but when testing I guess we should try to stick known setup without mods, I too had mods running, but I have only car and map mods. It probably does not change anything, but I will do testing with mods disabled from now on. I did test same settings (except resolution I had 1280x720) and same driving as DuneWulff, I got solid 60fps all the time. Then I thought to test similar framerates by increasing detail level and still I could not get these slowdowns to occur, certainly there has to some variable that is different and finding that might help. It could be also some other software that is causing some kind of conflict, I have only Windows defender for example, no other brand antivirus or firewall and I'm running Windows 8, you have Windows 10 I believe? My NVIDIA driver is version 378.66 Reason I like HwInfo and these graphs is that it is quite easy to spot anomalies and some idea what is responsible for slow fps, but I would need to find out how to get slowdown happen to get some data recorded, it still might not help much, but more data is always more. I do more testing, maybe I get this error to happen, but if you have interest and time, could you record logs with HwInfo and send to me, just would like to see if there is high CPU or GPU load or neither?
Today I've done some tests and benchmarks to see if my pc had problems with ram/cpu/gpu. Results: no problems at all. Spoiler: GPU Test Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 FPS: 97.2 Score: 2448 Min FPS: 36.3 Max FPS: 199.7 System Platform: Windows NT 6.2 (build 9200) 64bit CPU model: Intel Core i5-7600K CPU @3,80 Ghz GPU model: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 23.21.13.8813 Settings: Render: Direct3D11 Mode: 1920x1080 8xAA Fullscreen Preset: Custom Quality: Ultra Tessellation: Extreme Spoiler: CPU Test and RAM Test Software Used: Prime95 Torture Test completed 54 tests in 1 hour 9 minutes - 0 errors, 0 warnings Ram is at 3000 Mhz at 1.35 V and the CPU is always @4,2 Ghz at 1.2 V on a Z270 Motherboard that can support those speeds. I really don't know what is the cause of the problem. Max temperature reached by the CPU in the torture test is 80°C which is much below the maximum temperature of the CPU.
The computer freezing could be a software problem. Have you recently installed any new hardware, or updated any drivers?
Nothing special. Driving around in the Hirochi Raceway (today my pc froze twice in this map) or in Small Island Usa (today once and yestarday once too). Today I was driving normally in the Hirochi Raceway on the Barstow, then suddenly the car resetted, simulation stopped and the "Instability detected in vehicle Barstow. Simulation paused preemptively" message popped out, then my pc crashed. ^ No...
If it's a problem with the game, the game would just crash. But if your computer is crashing, there's some bigger problem that's not game related. Is there any kind of pattern to the crashes, or are they random?
^ Completely random. Some happen after 1 hour of playing. Others just two minutes after I opened the game. And all happen on different cars and on different maps, so it can't be one car or one map. The problem is that Windows stops working... During those freezes, if I press "Block Num" or the caps lock keys, the led of power of the keys doesn't turn on/off. If I turn off the monitor and then I start it again, DisplayPort isn't detected even if the pc is turned on. -_- --- Post updated --- And I forgot to say that all the tests were done without the system crashing/freezing.
A few months ago, my computer started freezing. For me, it was an issue with the new graphics driver. Reinstalling it fixed it. Have you installed any external hardware or upgraded your PC recently? The drivers that come with them could cause issues.
^ Nope. I built this system in September 2017, installed the latest drivers of that time and no more. It worked fine until 23 of December...
@Giraffinator The problem is that those freezes happen only in BeamNG. In other gamez there are no issues at all.
Very strange. Maybe you could open Event Viewer and see if there are any logged errors right before your system froze.
I know a lot of people have been noticing this problem and I've read the first post but for some reason WCA's FPS randomly drops down, and yes, it is a known issue. I'm also hoping for the node-grabber issue to be fixed because sometimes when I want to hang up a car in the air, it says 'Decoupling attached nodes' even when there weren't any nodes coupled. Also, please add UV templates for K-Series, T-Series, and 1996 Pessima. I don't know why they haven't been added yet!
