In the new version of BeamNG, loading times have actually gone up significantly, even with no mods. When trying to change graphical settings from high to normal, this happened, after letting my pc sit for five minutes.
    Specs:
    NVIDIA GTX 1050TI
    16 gb RAM
    Intel i7-7700

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this simple task used to take less than thirty seconds.

And to add to this issue, when the game is working, it seems to be much slower than normal. I normally get ab 40 fps on Italy, but now i'm at 25-30

It's not just you. This entire update is chugging the game to a near halt at times. I'm getting hitching, triple the length of loading times, and memory leaks. I used to get 90+ FPS in some areas and now I'm seeing 30.

It was running better on 0.16.0.0 than it is on 0.16.0.1.7383

I'm glad its not just me then. I was trying to load up a Grand Marshall police car that I tricked out with a bunch of mods and that broke everything. 100% memory usage, my entire computer froze, and the game wouldn't close. Had to force restart it. Rn, I've resorted to using a lower graphics setting and no mods, which is a bit annoying but it will have to do.

Also, to anyone that sees this thread, do you have a Doppler effect glitch with sirens and horns?
For me, whenever I use a siren it sounds all wack. I have no clue how to describe it other than it does a vibrato like thing that is horrible.

I've had this audio sound glitch with the sirens since 0.14 . Also, I just ran the game in safe mode (without mods) and the framerate issues persisted. Thanks to the magic of Steam, I can't roll back to 0.16.0.0 which is annoying. So yeah. Game's f'd, I'm afraid.

We will be investigating on this.

As for the loading times, 5 minutes is way too long and abnormal.
Over here it's barely 1:20s to load the level.

We have some optimization for them coming later on, they did not make it into this update.
Should help shaving off some seconds.

    Obligatory question:
Do you have mods? Many of them?
Did you check with all of them disabled?

Interestingly, in my computer the framerate of Italy improved a lot and very long loading time only occur first loading, regardless of mods. Looks like the 0.16 optimized some computer and de-optimized others.
    I'm using SSD(system)+HDD(BeamNG) and 8GB RAM.

When this problem happened, there were just a couple mods enabled, but after this, i closed out of the game by restarting my computer and ran it with safe mode enabled, and the issue persisted.

So after multiple restarts of the game and my computer, the game seems to be running a little bit better, although still slower than normal. It was the Fiction Skin pack that was causing the issue, and it has caused issues in the past. So, I have deleted the mod and the game is a little better now.

Just wanted to post a quick update;)
