0.3.3?

So you have to download 0.3.1 and then update or....?

Where can I download 0.3.3 directly?

 

Get the new updater and run it I think.

So I go to the Download page, and download the new version, 0.3.1...
almost half a gig...I started the download and walked away, no clue how long it took.

Then I run the new .exe and it installs and updates...and proceeds to download a whole new half a gig of data...

Took like half an hour to "update". My connection runs over 30 Mbps...

If I download a brand new .exe, why does it update to another whole new .exe?....

 

There were issues with the 0.3.1 launch. Ideally it was just supposed to be the new updater, but the load was too heavy (not enough clients seeding correctly, port issues on leechers, etc) so tdev re-bundled all of the game files with the exception of the game binaries (so no piracy) into a more traditional installer, with the updater running and getting the binaries after that. A direct download for the updater would be nice, the order page still has the aforementioned installer. Basically the installer (exe #1) installs most of the stuff for 0.3.1 and then the updater (exe #2) torrents the rest of the files that need added or replaced for 0.3.3 from a combination of official servers and seeding clients.

As for the updater, many reported forwarding ports 4433 and 8700 dramatically improved its efficiency.
