Yeah, great, I've just turned on steam and noticed the update. Same old bugs still there I see.

    Thx for the reports :)

    About those problems:
-d3d cannot create device after recovering from not responding (reported by me)
-game locks up when alt tabbing (reported by Calais)

can help a lot if we can find a steps to reproduce.

Pretty much all that you have to do is alt tab from the game and try to re enter and it starts to not respond. A few other things that don't work
    - the "N < > ?" keys and ALT + ENTER.

Come on! no free camera? not working parts selector? I didn't sign for any experimental updates, and yet now I don't have a stable version anymore. PLEASE fix this asap.

Stuff happens. We have a dev team that will gladly look into issues, and fix stuff as fast as they can. They won't leave the game in a state like this for a month or something like that.

I can undestand that. That's why there's the "experimental" release, for those who want to bother with this kind of bugs. For the rest of us who are only interested in a stable, working version of the game, we shouldn't be bothered with these kind of updates.

Well apparently the svn (dev) build was working fine, then bugs showed up only in the steam version.

Steps for reproduce a problem is not the same of a crash report or log.

Is a lot better help for us to know "exactly" the steps for reproduce, if not we need to try to find on log something can give us an idea and sometimes we don't have all necessary info.

I have reproduced the ALT + TAB crash, working on a fix now :)

Loading a map, switching parts, etc.

Anything to cause the game to say "Not Responding". Could be an issue with windowed mode.

First off, start by going back to 3.8.0 on steam, please. Fix all these issues with 3.8.1 and THEN release a new stable version.

I appreciate the release and the content and the epic list of work being done. Most of all I didn't lose Forest Hills!

Now I must harp on one point that continues to baffle me: Why is there no structure behind these releases? Are there discussions before
release as to why simple menu items fail to work? Did anyone catch any of this?...no?...why? I understand the excitement of pleasing
the community and the fun that must be however some kind of restraint must be done, Please guys, slow down and think this through
before each release! Where's the QA testing? Is there a project management scheme being followed?

It's frustrating after a number of these releases to not yet see or hear of a cohesive and rock solid path to an eventual goal. I want to see
this thing succeed damnit. You guys are doing an incredible amount of widely varying things and I really think prioritization is needed.

Did some further testing, now debug mode doesn't work (nodes numbers don't show up, jbeam skeleton doesn't shows up), that's great! can't work on my car anymore, can't even take decent screenshots or even change parts! I want 3.8.0 back!

(sorry for the whining, this is very frustrating!):mad::mad:

It's sad to see that no matter how many hours you throw at this, people still mock around. They can never be pleased or even feel into our side of things :(
And yes, there is management, testing, QA and goals...

I've tried redmine a couple of times for a month now, it appears to be down? Is it useful to post bugs in this thread and someone makes an overview in the first post?

Two small things I encountered which I haven't found in the list:

    - 200BX bumper nodes are able to break free, causing mesh stretching (it's hard, but you can see the fb5rr & fb5ll nodes in the first screen)

    - Moonhawk's right mirror has the coltris facing the wrong direction. Also both the nose- and tailcone sides and the trunk coltris are facing the wrong direction, but maybe that's on purpose.

It has it errors but I do like the update! :)
