I might make one of these for each version from now on.

Feedback on something is valuable. If you don’t get the feedback and criticism (and the complements) you have a hard time knowing what’s gone right and what’s gone wrong. The flame war over the SBR4 has been an eye opener, where Gabe nearly sh*tcanned the whole project over a few childish individuals taking their opinion as fact, or just being rude and insulting.

These guys work hard, now they’re presenting their work in regular progress reports and even releasing regularly I can see what’s going on. Remember the PR drought of 2014? I don’t want that again. I’m worried that the team might give in with the constant childishness levied against them. The least you can do to reward the hard work is to stop being a little bitch. The vocal minority of assholes on this forum have managed to make me take PITY on the dev team, as I keep seeing tdev responding with a sarcastic “thanks” and gabester having to forcefully remind people there’s a person on the other side receiving all this. And you know who you are doing this, you are categorically a band of entitled, selfish little sociopaths.

So what do we want here? The purpose of this thread is hopefully that of a heavily moderated platform to offer, as is in the title, constructive criticism and polite feedback. This is so the devs don’t have to sift through an ocean of childishly written demotivating crap to get to legitimate information about how the update was received by you.

Here are your guidelines. They’re very simple. You should be following them already but apparently no-one can trust you and it needs spelling out.

    1. Polite tone and useful details
No individuals saying things like “Yes this ******* update is broken the game!”
Either offer specific details about the problems or shut up. Keep negative opinions to yourself, just state the facts. The most useful information is what is broken, not what you think of it.

    2. Standard font only
I do not wish to see another post with “THIS IS A VERY BAD RELEASING” in size 1 million font with emboldened underlining again. Unless you need to format things to present a lot of information, stick to the regular looking font.

    3. Don’t forget to say nice things
It should be fairly obvious. If they’ve done something well then voice it, it’s also handy to hear. Not asking you to start worshipping the dev team, but if you take exceptional liking to the new GUI layout for example then voice it. It’s rewarding for them and it lets them know they’re on the right track. All I can see in most feedback is negative, negative and more negative. It's worth hearing something nice.

    4. Be useful
Again, sounds obvious. Basically all it entails is that instead of going through a bullet pointed list of “this is broken, that’s broken and so is the next thing”. Tell them what you’re doing and how the game is reacting to what you’re trying to do.

    5. About niggles and suggestions
It’s more of a pet peeve of mine, a suggestion and not a guidelines. Instead of lazily saying “Add lines to the GUI”. Explain why you want those lines added. Because it goes like this
    1. “I want lines”
    2. “Who cares?”

And the idea is lost forever. If you take the time to explain why you want those lines it’s much easier to see where you are coming from.

    1. “I would like to see some lines between the buttons to break up the GUI more and make it that little bit more clear. Currently without the lines they look like the same object”
    2. “Oh, now I see reasons. I will keep that in mind”

If you don't agree with a suggestion, keep your mouth shut. Too often it turns into a debate topic that derails the thread.

If you see anyone giving bad feedback, don't respond. Just report. Responding seems to cause flamewars

Basically failure to be a decent human being and contribute to feedback in a positive manner means I or hopefully a mature user else will report your post to a moderator. The explicit purpose of this thread is useful, polite, constructive feedback and criticism. It's explicitly not a platform for you to stomp your feet and bitch.

    - - - Updated - - -

I don't know if this is a useful thread... but in the face of what's been happening recently, I feel like taking some kind of action even if it turns out to be simply symbolic. What has been happening is pretty disgusting. Whether or not this thread is redundant doesn't matter, something needs to be spelled out and the attitude of the community needs to change dramatically.

    Hi

I am not sure if this is the place to report something wrong with the release or anything like that, However I love waiting for each new build and seeing what steps forward you guys are taking.

The only things I can think of that is "wrong" or "not working" (Not being rude, just struggled for words) is the 'Vehicle Mods Menu', I can bring it up with Ctrl - W and interact with it and customize the cars parts etc. However it seemingly has no bearing on the actual vehicle model. i.e I tried to change the front bumper on the new Gavril IBX200(I think) and it apparently did nothing, Is there something I'm doing wrong ?

And the simulation speed control bindings don't seem to work (ALT - LEFT etc.)

Otherwise I am highly enjoying the new content and features and sincerely hope this is the right section for such a post. I'm also hoping I haven't offended anyone in any way as I'm relatively new to these forums and haven't really had much to say thus far.

    Thanks
    Corey

I am having the exact same issue. As for the FPS counter - you can enable it via Steam, globally.

    - Part Selector not working
    - Graphical settings not saving
    - Free Camera not working

and many other bugs are already fixed (they weren't even broken, something went wrong the latest minutes before everything got pushed to the public) and will be released soon in a quick update/hotfix.

Positive feedback: The tire model has really progressed and I swear to god I am finding myself "heating the tires" before I put my foot into it.
Constructive criticism: Went a bit too far in lightening the skidmarks, please darken a bit but not as much as before.

Positive: All the new cars look great! Also having all the environment controls in one area is sweet.

But I cant seem to get the AI to work. Every time I set it it just says "Finding random route..." but never actually starts moving. Anyone else having this issue? anyone know a fix?

Also, I would really appreciate it if someone could look into the issue of where when closing the left-side menu while having something from that menu open like the parts selector and only having the left-side menu close, not the parts selector.
