The new feature in 0.9 where you can specify your steering wheel's lock-to-lock so it can be 1:1 with the in-game steering wheel is a great addition. However, as it is right now, if I go past the car's steering lock my wheel will only use as much force as the "maximum force feedback" setting allows. I suggest that the full strength of the wheel's force feedback should be used to keep the wheel at the car's maximum. The only reasons that I think people don't set the maximum force feedback all the way up is if they don't want to have to fight the wheel to steer quickly, or if they don't want to potentially damage their wheel with really violent feedback that a physics sim is going to give sometimes. In both situations, there's no reason to want to steer past the car's steering lock, and it's useful to be able to feel that you've reached the wheel's limit. Also, using full strength in this case doesn't share the violence and jerkiness that driving over a curb or crashing does so it isn't a concern for damaging the wheel either.
