I usually don't like reposting mods, especially ones with unknown permissions. If anyone that worked on this in the past wants me to take it down, I will. However, I saw the state of this thing being passed around and couldn't bear to see it that way. So, I decided to release my slightly refreshed personal version. All I have done is update the textures to modern standards, while keeping it as close to the original as possible. Thanks to this website, I was even able to retain the original diffuseColor values. I have done basically no JBeam work, so don't expect a completely modernized version. If anyone wants to work on that they can, just post the updates in this thread and I'll update this main post. ==Update 9/5/24== Fixed parking brake sound at idle Added selectable spare tire on fenders, in right, left, and both flavors. No jbeam as of yet. Credits, maybe? @Miura - Original mod @Alex_Farmer557 - Some updated parts Known issues (Most are from the original release): Metal & mechanical textures look meh Light textures need to be completely redone to modern standards Lights do not break JBeam is very odd everywhere Thumbnails look meh Hood has zero latches, so it flies open All the cool old lua things are dead (Adjustable idle, all gauges except km/h, special transmission, ect). I have attached the original lua file here in case anyone wants to take a crack at it.
Awesome to see it back. I was stuck using my Automation mod. witch i made the body invisible and made my own thing witch sucks and being intp pree war cars this is awesome. i hope the Devs give us a pre 1950s car, getting into Packards and model T;s lots lately and any 1910s-1950s cars lately

Really nice refresh! Good to see this mod getting some love. There is a weird repeating buzzing noise on idle, not sure if that's intentional? It's quite loud
i found the spare wheel in a different version of the mod and have added it as a selectable part It deforms quite badly so i believe thats why it was removed from the mod
I'm pretty positive that the "buzzing sound" is the parking brake sound playing on loop at lower RPMs. Even after turning the engine off, the sound doesn't stop.
Afaik the car used a lot of lua for noises the base game didn't have so stuff like that has been broken
Awesome job. Glad to see a version that looks much better than the updated fixed copy from 5 years ago. If I may ask, I remember seeing your work with the '49 Cadillac a while ago. Are you still working on that?
Fixed, main post is updated. No more ear bleeding The model you sent still didn't have it, so I tracked down an old version too and got it. Instead of making it a whole separate fender, I added it under a slot on the fenders. I've also added the option to have it on the left side, or both sides if you're feeling extra special. Also, what's up with the body texture in your screenshot there? Was it importing, or did I miss the normal map there? Yep! Albeit, very slowly. I'm fighting tooth and nail with the jbeam (It's winning, I suck lol), need to create better glass (and maybe upscale other) textures, and I need to get some stuff modeled too. If anyone reputable stumbles across this and wants to help, feel free to shoot me a PM
Awesome to see this thing back, have been waiting forever! --- Post updated --- Will add something, the idle sound is amazing but the rest of it is kind of... off. Will the engine sound be improved in the future?
