The axle is so far back because it improves the cars handling quite a bit by extending the wheelbase. this is also the reason why the track width is so far out. The idea behind this car was not to make a direct 1:1 copy of a 2000gtr but a car inspired by it that also handles well. I knew what i was doing when i made this. --- Post updated --- refer to my last reply --- Post updated --- ALSO the wheelbase is barely changed in the back if at all...We extended the nose so it could fit the inline 6 engine and made the door longer to make it look and feel a little more like a propper coupe.
I think what @Nacho Problem tried to express was that this project is indeed KPGC10 inspired. But instead of making a Skyline 2000, this is more of a reimagined, GT-R influenced sporty Miramar coupe car thing, which turns out exactly the way we want it to be that is longer and wider compare to the sedan body and to the actual GT-R. The grille btw is just that I really like how NinetyNine! put together the grille of the Z Coupe so it is arranged pretty much in the same way. And more screenshots
Okay, Okay, I've just thought roadsters were coupes. Don't talk so hard. Also, I don't know if you've noticed, but a lot of roadsters on sale have a roofed version still called a roadster.
While I know you aren’t trying to make an exact replica it does look visually weird, It has some quirks that make it feel too long. Some changes I would make without moving the rear axle are: •Make the door start earlier and end farther back. (This visually shortens the car a lot). •Move the Pillar to match and make it thinner. •Make the arches taller and a little wider and put bigger sidewalls on the tires. (Makes the car look more proportional) •Shorten the Rear overhang a little •Last Resort Shorten the wheelbase a little. I doubt it would make too much of a change with handling that you couldn’t just edit the setup to get the driving characteristics back Then some little stuff like a rear side indicator, the circle badge on the C pillar and maybe doing a line similar to the skyline over the rear wheel. All those help the car look less empty and as such less long. I know you are far in development so these changes would be a lot of work I think it would be worth at least considering it, if not now for a update after the release. Good Luck!
