This is hardly even a WIP but since I have a little extra time on my hands I'd like to create my IRL vehicle in BeamNG.
Here are some pics I took awhile back:

Anyways, since I drive this thing around everyday I pretty much have access to every little technical detail of the vehicle and can provide an near unlimited amount of reference. I know this car inside and out since I've done a complete rebuild and a drive line swap on it.

This is kind of what I've modeled so far, reason why I'm posting so early in the creation process is because I'm asking if anyone wants to do the bulk of the modeling work for me since I want to focus mainly on the jbeam.
I want to make this car completely from scratch and I want to to be accurate to how my car actually is. If anyone is interested then please PM me or reply to this thread.

To anyone who is interested in the car in general: This car is the coupe version of the Mercedes W124 chassis, it has a 3.0 inline 6 cylinder engine with a 4 speed automatic trans. Like most German performance vehicles it has rear wheel drive and handles excellently, the gearing reflects it general high speed nature. Like most Mercedes vehicles, the styling is a little behind of it's time but is otherwise very pleasant. Also, this car is tougher than the Gavril D-15 could ever hope to be.

    UPDATE5-6-14:
I put in another hour and did the hood and bumper.

    300bumper.png

They're not complete but it's enough to start with.

    UPDATE5-7-14:
Did some more shit. Looking less shitty though.

I like your BMW ignition key!
Btw I hope that you will really finish it, a merc will be nice to smash smaller cars! (maybe even "Pigeons")

Thanks for the feedback but if you'd read my post then you would know why I posted such a vague model.

I understand you want help with the modeling, I would help but I'm busy enough with my M3 project. But you might get a lot of hate for posting a thread like this with no real progress.

Again, it would be a good idea to make a little bit of progress with the model (a fender, roof or something) and post your help request in the development thread I linked. It's quite active.

Yeah I guess I should probably put out a little progress on the model. Wish it didn't look lie it was thrown together with legos and duck table.

You shouldn't make a low poly model and then add details, it's a lot better to just model everything with the final detail level.
I could make the wheels if you want. :)

Did you mean duct tape? I smell autocorrect, lol
that's what you get for using apple

If you are really able to make the Jbeam I could do the model. I have already modeled a Mercedes 300 SLR, but failed at coding the Jbeam.

If you could do the modeling then that would be great, I'll upload some more pics and do a few measurements tomorrow.

I would do it, but only if you are able to do the Jbeam. I don't want to make another model and then have no Jbeam.

Yes the Jbeam is what I want to focus on here.

I see yours is a real collector's item! ^^ Could you maybe also do the Jbeam for the Mercedes 300 SLR I modeled a few months ago, while I make the model for the 300 CE?

Haha yeah it's my daily driver so it can get pretty messy. I'll gladly do the Jbeam for your 300 SLR, just PM me the 3d files and I'll get started.

After I worked on this for a few days I think I can show what I have done so far.

    render 1.png render 1 wire.png

As this is the second model I have created so far I would really appreciate constructive criticism and advice.

    That looks absolutely great!
You might want to normal map the grill though, it looks very high poly.

That is absolutely incredible!! Poly density looks fine, bar the grille but I'd keeps it as it looks great! I look forward to future progress!
