This skin pack is for those of you who liked the colorful, clean lines of the paintschemes used in NASCAR back in the 1990s. Most recent edit: 11/25/2023 -- Added Mark Martin 1990, Alan Kulwicki 1990, and Rick Mast 1994 to the Ford pack, and Robert Pressley 1997 to the GM pack. I have recreated many of my favorite cars from that time for use with Solarpower07's NASCAR Gen6 Camaro mod, as well as Pawshore's Mustang addition to the mod. Note that I had to make some creative choices to make these paintjobs look right on a more modern car body. For example, there are no names on the windshield banners. I opted to use the headlights and grill decals from the Camaro and Mustang, but no tail lights, which is similar to how the cars really looked in the late 90s. I've also included a car from '89 and a car from '00, since they still felt like part of this same general era. I may add more cars to this pack later, but I wanted to at least get this out there for everybody to enjoy. Chevrolet, Pontiac, and Oldsmobile cars are included in my GM pack for Solarpower07's Gen 6 NASCAR Stock Car. Some were traced from model car decal sheets. Some came from stunodracing.net For Mark Martin 1997's car I used bungi43's Valvoline base: http://stunodracing.net/index.php?r...base-mencs-19-ford-mustang-layered-psd.11039/ Many contingency sponsors are from users on gran-turismo.com (I got quite a few in particular from https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gtsport/user/profile/1553333/gallery/all) For some logos, I was unable to find a source and had to completely make them from scratch. I frequently used TitaniumMotor's Assetto Corsa NASCAR Cup mods as a nice template for roughly laying out contingency sponsor decals with my own high resolution decals, and then fine tuned them to fit the Gen6 bodies. Make sure you save the Ford and GM .zip files into your BeamNG's mods folder. Spawn a NASCAR Camaro or Mustang. Hit Escape to bring up the menu and click on Vehicle Config at the top so that it brings up that menu. (shown in screenshot step1-vehicleconfig.jpg) Under the Paint Design section, there is a dropdown menu that lists all of the available skins for that type of car. (also shown in screenshot step1-vehicleconfig.jpg) Select whichever paint design you want to use. (shown in screenshot step2-chooseskin.jpg)
thanks man, I really enjoy the skins, you did an amazing job. Here are some recommendations I would love to see 1 - Steve Park 17 - Matt Kenseth 8 - Dale Jr 40 - Sterling Marlin (Coors Light) Overall, you did them all, amazingly, those are just simple recommendations
Thank you. I can't promise to make all requested cars, but those are some cars I already had in mind as well. I had been focusing on getting some of the earlier/mid 90s cars covered first and really neglected a lot of my favorite cars from the late 90s! --- Post updated --- 2/28/2023 -- Added Lake Speed's 1995 car, Hut Stricklin's 1996 car, and Jeremy Mayfield's 1998 car to the Ford pack. I have also tweaked colors and logo placements on several other cars in the Ford pack. (I had started working on several Fords before Pawshore's mod came out, so I wasn't able to view them in-game until recently)

I mean, yes, we're getting out of the 90s technically, but 2000 still really felt like the 90s since it was the last year of the old ABC/CBS/ESPN/TNN/TBS era of TV broadcasting. (Oh, and fun fact... I got these done Friday right after work, but then a wind storm knocked down trees everywhere and I lost power to my house for several days and just now got it back.)

Hi Dan, These schemes are absolutely killer. By far the best skin pack on here in my opinion. You really knocked it out of the park and I can't wait for more schemes from you.

This is sick, a gives a little retro feel to the modern Gen 6 cars. Driving a Camaro with a Pontiac skin is cursed lol. nice mod!
