This is awesome! Can't wait for it to release (though don't rush yourself). I saw that someone said to use the edge split modifier, but When using it, don't hit apply. Also make sure the angle is set to 60 degrees. The reason you shouldn't apply it is (well I don't really know) but its best to just use "apply modifiers" during export.
As I did with the Reo, I will not be working on/updating the project due to work.
Progress Update #3: Finalizing Interior
So this will be the final update of the weekend. I started finalizing the interior and its textures. Although there is still a lot to do, I feel it will be done soon!
Still to work on (interior wise):
- UV Map the dashboard/side console properly for textures
- UV the gauges
- Color the air vents
- Model the buttons + Texturing
- Fix the seats
- UV/Texture the door cover (or whatever it's called)
- Functional aspects (Pedals, gauges, buttons, levers, steering wheel)
WE GOT WINGS (and rainbows apparently)
Enjoy your daily dose of Mercedes!
This is looking sweet! Keep it up my dude! Im so glad to be seeing true commitment to a project!
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh some realistic cars are coming through beeep beeep
wow great job so far...one thing, I cant see anything, the pics are way to small and they dont enlarge....is it the way you are uploading the pics perhaps?
I work at a mercedes dealership and I can look up parts diagrams for this car, there isnt any physical example here but if theres strange bits and pieces you need help finding, I can give you official parts diagrams as a reference
I think it's the way I inserted them. A way to fully see it is right click the image and download it to your desktop. And I would love benchmarks and other info.
I hope this doesn't flop like most mods although it seems like it wont. I kinda feel like the grand marshal jbeam would of been a better choice for a car like this.
nah, t-series frame + pigeon body
Well, this looks great so far! Good luck with it! Your father would love it!
Thank you. I appreciate the support!
I definitely think you should rebrand it. Also I have a few config ideas. PM me
You've got to do a banger racing config for this one, would probably be a good strong car and take down stuff such as the ETK I Series.
(Basically, here's what would need to be done for it)
1. Remove exterior plastic (Lights, bumpers, mirrors)
2. Remove internal plastic & cloth (Rear seats, passenger seat, carpet, headlining, door cards & if possible, the dashboard.
3. Weld up the doors, boot and bonnet
4. Ask Peter Beamo on here to install his H Frame mod into it.
Very nice suggestion. I will see what I can whip up!
If you don't finish this mods then I'll finish you, 'cause this is one of the best cars of all time (except from literally every Volvo).
Woah, woah, woah. That's kinda a threat. Tone it down.
I don't appreciate the threat, although I'm not sure if it was a joke or not... The car will get finished.
Wow, I actually think this will be a good mod when this is done. Good luck! Oh yeah and please don't release to early this time, just remember do it on your own time and do it when you feel like it. We can wait patiently.
