Hey guys, been a while (literally 2 days). So it's time to go over a list of all the changes since then!, - CONFIGS, CONFIGS, CONFIGS! @TokyoSouls ~ more specifically (from left to right), Tuner, L RHD, Drag, L LHD ~ thumbnails for said configs. (yes i forgot to make officially make the tuner config) - New engines! @SlickNick924 ~ SR20 2.4L I4 w/ Black and Red top option, RB26DE 2.6L I6 w/ Black, Blue, Gold, and Red Valve cover, and 423 CUI 'Ultra-Thrust' V8 (for the drag config and whatever other V8 fetishes you all got) ~ complete with models and sounds! - New part: Cut hood (for that beefy boi v8) @TokyoSouls - Major jbeam improvements to the pillars, glass, roof, etc. (basically the "upper part" of the car) @TokyoSouls - "Officially" implemented 4WS for Japanese configurations. @SlickNick924 Yeah, what i mean by the "" is the brakes literally turn to molten lava... - Texture Overhaul (including HTML clock by @SlickNick924) @SlickNick924 / @TokyoSouls - Prop placement @SlickNick924 - Plus some new additions to our team (unrelated to our testing applications) We welcome @Spiicy and @queenstar As for the applications, we have selected a few candidates but we are still reviewing the rest before we make the ultimate decision. Thank you for your countless patience as we work on this project. Means a hell of a lot to us, especially Nick. He told me he never thought this car would ever in a million years get to where it is today, and look at us go! Really, thank you, all of you. Means a lot. Hey guys, we released a small teaser Here. Please give feedback. There is no extra parts, only stock configs/parts.
I am currently writing this as I play with it, and therefore this review of what you have done so far is subject to change. I don't feel like writing a paragraph, so instead this will be in list form. I apologize if any of these bugs are already known, please let me know if they are and I will remove them. Rear right exhaust gases are still present even though there is now visible pipe, along with shooting out at about a 60° angle from the rear bumper. Engine sounds amazing, but is a little rough. It sounds alot more rumbly similar to that of the SBR4's flat 4. Stock ride height is a little low, but the suspension rides well enough, and has a good amount of travel, in both droop and compression. The pillars reflections are a bit off, as pictured here: Tire jbeam is slightly offcenter, as pictured here: Jbeam overall is meh (YES I UNDERSTAND THIS IS STILL A HEAVY WIP) and crashes alright, though it is slightly spiky, it's getting better. Glass break textures are rather jpegish, but they look alright I guess. Rear window glass break texture (try saying that 9 times fast, just the glass break texture part) is, uhm, odd. Taillight broken glass texture is clear glass instead of red (pretty sure it's just a placeholder) Engine shutoff sounds like a whoopee cushion. Not sure if these parts are supposed to be orange: (pictures taken from the inside of the trunk) I recommend getting the door jbeam to match the door, as it is very short of the edge of the door. I believe this would improve deformation and get it closer to dev-spec crashes. Front bumper jbeam is WAY off, as pictured here: The rear bumper has a better fitting jbeam, but it's edges are rather flimsy, (I believe due to the triangles not being properly made, and instead stretched to fit the model) causing it to spike and jiggle a lot in crashes. A good thing in the jbeam is the engine, which has the torque reaction in the proper manner, tilting left and right instead of forwards and backwards, unlike alot of mods based off of official cars' jbeams. More orange things that I'm not sure are supposed to be orange: Headlights don't have broken glass textures (yet) Mirror jbeam is completely off: Actually has a fuel cap, which is mega swag and yolo Trunk jbeam is lookin pretty good though the middle node closest to the rear windshield could be dragged back a bit. I don't think it really affects how it does in crashes. Model is pretty awesome besides those pillars and missing textures(?) Alright I've decided that I've picked your car apart enough, and I really hope you found this helpful. --- Post updated --- Again please note that I am not aware of all that you are aware of, and that the bugs/issues I list may already be known.
Thanks for the report! Yeah, I forgot to assign a material to the orange things and I didn't really mess with the front bumper jbeams at all (which is still completely a 200bx front bumper jbeam). I didn't change the ride of height of the suspension but I changed some stuff in the rear suspension and moved it into place. Also, the brakes on the rear steering suspension currently don't work.
As nick said, yes, thank you for the report. As for the texture issues (which is my line of work here), the recent update broke a lot of stuff and we're still figuring out what else it broke. Jbeam is still a work in progress, as said above. Otherwise, very detailed. Thank you. I would've like this post in the modding discussion thread but hey, as long as we're made aware of it.
Nah, the update didn't brake them lol. The unnasigned ones were only made orange. Also @ThatCarGuyDownTheStreet, that sbr4 noise you hear is the sbr4's flat 4 exhaust noise. It was only to see if I could make the car sound more grumbly
