The Charmand 1000 Series was redesigned for the 1988 model year.

    Injury measures:

Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions. Forces on both legs indicate that injuries to the lower legs would be likely. The dummy's metal left leg was actually separated from the foot.

    Structure:

The driver's space wasn't maintained well. The front left wheel actually broke through the car's floorboard.

    Restraints and dummy kinematics:

Dummy movement wasn't well controlled. The dummy's head hit the roof before it could move forward and hit the steering wheel. Measures taken from the head indicate this hit was negligible.

    Overall evaluation: Marginal
