I'm pleased to present the first SUV for BeamNG. Still a heavy w.i.p but its getting there. Here's some dev pics. Thank's Torabisu for the Amazing rims! Sorry for the errors with the pictures guys will fix it soon. been to busy with other things.
Your pillars definitely need some work, and the body seems a bit flat. But you've done a good job so far.
All these new modellers popping in and they don't suck completely. Yes your model can use work, it isn't perfect. As stated above the pillars are a bit off and such. So far you've gone further than what we normally see in the RoR forums, a door panel with someone claiming to be making a Ferrari. so I have high hopes for your explorer. Look forward to seeing all of you guys finish all the various projects dotted around the forum and more-so, hope you all make good node/beam chassis for them when the game comes out.
>Yes your model can use work, but it isn't a door panel with someone claiming to be making a Ferrari who can't actually model. I have no idea what that means
Sorry. There's a missing sentence in the middle of there. I must've forgotten to write it. Let me fix it.
This looks like a lot of fun to bash around in. You have a great start, and your mesh (albeit a little wonky) seems fine. Keep up the good work. Also, a question to the community -taking note of Torabisu's wheels-, should tyre treads be modeled, or just normalmapped? I'm not quite sure of what to do with the Quattro's tyres.
Excisionized, Torabisu, and I have been working together for quite some time now. We're so excited to be making vehicles for BeamNG
Yes thanks to all you guys for your support it will be worked on today and hopefully getting the body shaped up will be easier than i thought.
I look forward to seeing updates on this Did these SUV's have problems with rolling over if you swerve violently?
Very nice work here! I really like it, but only one thing gets to me, and it is that, first is this your final render for now? Or are you still doing of changes to the body?
